Sometimes I think I'm hearing more than one falcon in the distance. Could Polly have come to her family's aid? Its a stretch, but Spirit is in the box, so she isn't the second falcon... :?

It would be nice to hear some news of Polly. Here is another stretch. Would it not be a miracle if she was raising that little one she took.

I mentioned that idea recently, & SGB & Kittenface were with me in hoping that was the case. Probably unlikely, but you never know! That would also explain why she is staying away from her parents--she might be worried that they'll follow her to where she has the chick & take it away from her! I figure we'll know if that's the case once "her" baby has fledged & she brings it to meet the rest of its family! :grin:

Hi !
Thanks for the nice pictures ! :grin:
yeah I was very afraid as the second chick was close to the side of the box so I told Simon (our bander) to put the net there.
It was a very hot day today in Montreal and the chicks seemed exhausted. We tried to do as fast as we could but it's complicated as we have to wear full protection etc. / take it off / put it back...
Overall I think it went well.

We have a male and a female named Horus (yellow band) (620g) and Eve (red band) (820g)

I will get back to you with the official band numbers as I don't have them handy!

I will enjoy these later tonight. I did not notice that blue cloth over the box. I would not have been so worried if I had known it was covered. It looked like chick was going to fall right out
