That was the male - Algo - falling from the tower for the second time... He fell when trying to jump back in the nestbox, that's why I installed the ramps !

Fledge watch will start this Thursday here. Eve still not out of the box yet while Horus is getting more and more confident...

Hi all !
Since yesterday Eve has not been well at all. She was lying down all the time and refused to eat this morning. No wing flapping, nothing. So we captured her this afternoon and I took her to the vet, we will know more about her condition tomorrow. Meanwhile, Horus did his first flight, he flew very well ! He's now on a roof below and seems in very good shape. You can see photos of Eve on my blog :

I will keep you posted on Eve's condition when I know more!

Hi Wizzz! Sorry to hear that Eve isn't feeling well, but glad she is being checked out--poor baby! :-(

Sounds like Horus is being a typical tiercel, & good for him!

Eve, I am so glad you decided to intervene and take care of Little Eve....and it looks like Horus cooperated as well...ya didn't have to worry about scaring him into an early fledge...that little devil..and it sounds like he had a first good flight!!! So glad you've already got watchers on the ground...

Please keep us updated on little Eve's condition..I hope its nothing more serious than a falcon tummy ache...or maybe Horus hurt her feelings...(just kidding, I know this is serious)..sounds like she's in good hands and at least they can keep her hydrated...

Thanks for the link to her pictures...at least she looked like she had some fight in her!!!

Eve, I too am glad that you decided to help Eve and have her taken into care. I hope the tests will show what the problem is, and that she will make a speedy recovery. Meantime, at least she can receive supportive care and be fed and given fluids.

It's good to know that Horus did well on his first two flights.

Eve, thanks for the update, and I'm hoping its treatable, which seems likely. Do you treat for trich there? My rehab group got a young hawk that ended up with multiple parasites, which happens unfortunately.

Wizzz - I'm so sorry to hear that Little Eve was ill, but I'm so glad that you were able to intervene and get her to the Vet. I'm hoping that with the proper care she'll fully recover!

P.S. I'm glad to hear that Horus made his first flight already!
