In the summer it is pretty light the further north you go. In the winter it is darker.
When I lived in Peace country, we only go ta few hours of dusk.

In the mountains it is dark early.

that is what Gord said.

they do look very good.

We will see what tomorrow brings and I hope not rain. that will put damper on everything

I think cam has stoppee also.

Will be here early in morning.

I sure appreciate all you are doing MaryAnne. And I appreciate all the others that are helping here also. If I could cancel my appointment , I would.

Not to worry Bev...we'll cover it while you're gone..even if the parents get there before I do in the morning, I think we'll know...via crops and I don't think the parents will leave the quail carcass in there...

of course, the kids could toss it out over night, but I doubt it...

I'm off to bed!!

OK, I just read the caption under the cam that says "Live image updates every 5 seconds from dawn until dusk." So...I'll bet that's why the cam seems frozen!

I'm not sure when the sun rises in Alberta, but they're 2 hours behind those of us on the East Coast.

Right, it appears as though they don't even cry. Do they cry for their food in captivity? Hard to be sure , but I can't tell that they have cried at all. Saw a mouth open last night a couple of times, but maybe that was a yawn.

They are gonna feed them again this morning..I do hope a parent gets there first...and I'd also love to know if the people on the ground have seen the parents near the box..

Good morning. I have been watching, but had to get my fledge notices out for Edmonton.

It is to rain today, so not a good day for trying to foster.

They need to cry out.

they will be fed this morning between 8 and 9. I will be at an appointment from 9 til 11:30am

I will have to leave a little sooner.

Gord was appraised by me last night and so they will see what happens today. So not worry about chicks.( I am dong enough for all of us). They are being monitored.

Gord wants to give female a good chance . she has been through a lot, and now no eggs. This is usually done in same place eggs were laid but they have done this before also. I prayed hard last night, but it will be what it will be.

Thanks everyone for watching and helping monitoring. Gord is very appreciative.
