I agree, SGB. Although I don't want them to be hungry, I think that is the only way they will start screaming, which seems to be what is needed in this type of situation.

Gord said that if they screamed , she would come in.

But they are too content. I think maybe at breeders , they always get it so they are not too worried.

But having said that, this is not the first time they have fostered. This situation is not very often. (When eggs were laid elsewhere) Usually it is in same nest . But both adults did bond here and nest here before and they did bond this year here.

Da__ _!!!!!!!!!
Well I have to head out for appointment. I am hoping for good news when I return. The site will say I am here but I will not be. I have to leave Peters computer up or it will shut me out.

I will come in when I am back

Thanks everyone. :hearts: :girlluv:

We'll keep watch, Bev...

As cruel as it sounds, maybe they shouldn't go up and feed them yet..those stomachs need to start growling and they need to start screaming...

This one seems the only one interested in food...or maybe he's just playing...

It's so sad to see the poor little chicks still all alone. :-(

I wonder if anyone there has a recording of falcon chicks screaming for food. If they could play something like that near the nest box, it might entice the adults to come.

That is an interesting idea...I wonder if they have such a thing available..

I'm sure they want this to happen as badly as we do...but I think if something doesn't happen today, they'll take them before nightfall...just a guess...so come on parents..

I think there should be some You Tube videos from the Columbus or Harrisburg nests that have the sounds of chicks screaming for food; Harrisburg especially always seem to have a screamer each year. But it would probably be easier to find a video than it would be to arrange to play it back close to the nest box.

They are so cute when they all look the same direction. Maybe an adult is doing fly-bys again.

I'll bet they're ready for another meal right now...they've been busy playing with leftover quail scraps. I'm hoping they will call out now for a parent.

SGB, do you still have your recorder going? If so, I will leave for a bit to get some things done.
