Oh no Carly :-( I know this is exactly what you didn't want to happen. Milton is all rested up, and Jack has been taking care of two nests. Let us know what you see. I am crossing my fingers for poor Jack!

Oh dear--I'm so sorry to hear this! I'm not any happier about Milton's release right at nesting time than I was that Mariah was released during nesting season. She also went right back home, but things stayed pretty calm there. Let's hope things work out here & there are no more injuries!

you know my thoughts Carly.

this is just a damn shame. Hope Angel gets some food soon.
Of course, jack will try an stay at his territory but hopefully he will give in to come and feed his family at Etobicoke.
Just me ,trying to help the males make a decision.

:omg :omg :omg :omg I cannot believe this is happening (but,of course, I can) We all knew it..We're smack dab in the midst of nesting season, a former resident male (Milton) is released...well, where did they think he would go? To Florida for a vacation? Of course he was going to go home----duh!!! We are not biologist, but even we knew he would do what he has done!!! :gaah: What were they thinking?!

Now...lets hope Jack returns to Angel full time and the TR female accepts Milton back!!!!

Carly, I am soooooooooooooo sorry all of this is happening...it must be so stressful for you..I don't know how you can work!!! I would be freaking out...any idea if anyone was seriously injured?

Please keep us posted when you can!!!

Carly, I really do not know what to make of it.

By the way, after a fight , they would be preening and licking theri woulnds. I have watched them do that.
(feathers would certainly be ruffled)

I think , at this point, I would be more inclined to be thinking of the females and the chicks. they are the ones that are suffering right now and need food.
Angel cannot stay there forever without food and the chicks need to be covered. Has anyone been notified.

I do not know how females react but in Edmonton, when the female was defeated , the male was right there ,courting her, 5 minutes after. the biologist were watching from the ground and I was watching from the cam.
It is their survival instinct. but , there were no chicks involved.
angel has chicks, and she want s to protect them, so she is going to make sure no one harms them

What a mess.
the ones that released Milton need to be tarred and feathered.

I thought things might quiet down this afternoon. I'm so sorry Carly. I wonder why Milton would leave his home to attack Jack? I guess following Jack home? I'm glad you'll have Frank on the lookout to help tomorrow.

Say hello to BIGFRANK for us Carly and ask him why he has been ignoring BCAW!!! (just kidding)...have him take some food for Angel while he is going up there, just in case...

I agree with Bev....has someone been contacted about what happened today?

Oh thanks, Carly....I hope somebody really "scolded" them!!!

...and don't think of yourself as a peon...if it weren't for the "watchers", probably few biologists would even know what goes on at nests!!!

the biologists here depend on the watchers to help[ them. they are so busy here with so many things that they take their observers seriously.

OK...now that's just not right...the boys have it backwards!!! Jack needs to be with angel and Milton needs to be at TR...I certainly do hope they are ready to rescue Angels chicks if they need to...maybe the boys can come to some sort of understanding and the females will agree and then we can regain some peace!!!

I think I need :eat after all the strangeness that has gone on today!!!
