Thank you SusanE. I am grateful to you :P and am really touched by how amazing the people of this forum are. We are of "like minds" here at BCAW and I feel fortunate to share bits of your lives.

The convention was good but stealing time away and seeing some of Portland was the best part. I missed my little cats! I have a cat sitter who comes twice a day to feed because they eat wet food. She does a great job (and I pointed her in the direction of this website. we'll see.) They were really happy when I came home and Jack won't get off my lap. Lots of purring and burring. Cassidy is sitting right at the keyboard while I type.
:smilesun:

Tell me something of your cats SusanE......

Mick, I am "catless" right now for reasons I won't go into, but my Smokey (in my avatar) was a big bruiser with a soft heart for his mom. He passed away 4 yrs ago and about broke my heart. So, the cats of any BCAW members automatically become "my" cats as well. :smilesun:

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for all the support! I was in Portland OR at a convention and just returned. The days were long and I couldn't check the internet on Friday night or all day Saturday. I am so behind!

I saw two osprey; in nests!! And two adult Rough-legged (Dark Morph) Hawks with 2 juvies soaring low over our heads!! They have a wing span of over 50"- WOW!! Also saw a Western Scrub Jay, which I have never seen in Seattle. I know this isn't the place to post this but...

Anyway, glad to be back. Hope all of you and kitties are well!
:spring1:

Glad you had a good time I remember going to portland about 3 times a week I was raised in Vancouver WA right across the bridge, oh how I miss it I love PA but WA is home

SusanE, I am sorry about Smokey :beathrt: . To not have that little head to touch or eyes to look into, leaves a big loneliness. He was beautiful.

Thank you for your support for Jack. I am glad that you consider all our cats your cats. I send my best...

THIS IS PRECIOUS HOPE YOU ENJOY AS MUCH AS DID!!!!
Image
When God made the world, He chose to put animals in it, and decided to give each
whatever it wanted. All the animals formed a long line before His throne, and the cat
quietly went to the end of the line. To the elephant and the bear He gave strength,
to the rabbit and the deer, swiftness; to the owl, the ability to see at night,
to the birds and the butterflies, great beauty; to the fox, cunning; to the monkey, intelligence;
to the dog, loyalty; to the lion, courage; to the otter, playfulness.
And all these were things the animals begged of God.
At last he came to the end
of the line, and there sat the little cat, waiting patiently.
"What will YOU have?" God asked the cat.

The cat shrugged modestly. "Oh, whatever scraps you have left over. I don't mind."
"But I'm God. I have everything left over."
"Then I'll have a little of everything, please" said the Cat.

And God gave a great shout of laughter at the cleverness of this small animal,
and gave the cat everything she asked for, adding grace and elegance and,
only for her, a gentle purr that would always attract humans and assure her a
warm and comfortable home.

KF - You outdid yourself with the kitty post yesterday! I loved all the pictures, but my favorite was definitely this precious image...

P.S. Today's video was really cute.

Mick - I just voted for Jack again, and I'm happy to say that he's still in first place.
