Thank you everyone for you comforting words she is home now but
NOT A HAPPY KITTY
That splint looks like it wieghts as much as she does and she can't do anything right now but flop around and scream I don't know how she will make it 6 weeks with it on or how she is going to do the poopies and pee thing.
I have her in the carrier right now so she doesn't hurt herself or the babies she is not happy with them right now either, guess I'll just have messes to clean out of the carrier for awhile :laugh Well I'm going to go look in on her then I'll be back for the birds

Oh, poor Saffy. Maybe she just needs a couple of days to get used to it. Cats & dogs seem to adjust pretty well to inabilities. Keep us posted.

Well your not going to believe this but she is gone I can't find her anywhere
that splint isn't stopping her at all I thought I'd be safe leaving her out of her carrier
tonight when I went to work and I came home an hour and half ago and have
been looking ever since.
No sleep for me tonight I'll have all the neighbors PO'd at me for going out
and screaming for her but what the heck I DON"T CARE :laugh

Well, that little stinker. She'll be back, KF, but I know you will be worried sick until she returns. Hopefully her instinct to return to her kittens (as well as her main food source  ) will have her on your doorstep this morning.

Well right after I posted last night my power supply died on the computer so I just got one in
(thank god tor my son the puter wiz) and I was up almost all night and then
all morning walking the woods and corn fields I got my exercise thats for sure I called
all the vets and hospitols and left messages and phone number and half hour ago
I went to get the clothes off the line and THERE SHE WAS!!!!!!! the splint half off
so got her in the dog pen now with the litter box and food and thats where
she is staying monday back to vet to get that fixed
she seems ok with it and I can't afford the animal hospitol it costs $175. just to walk in.

I'll tell you that cat is going to cause a heart attack on me, I must have walked at
least 5 miles in a big circle around the area here looking for her she just about had
to be in the corn field thats the way she came from But she is home AGAIN
Oh yeah and on top of it all I GOT POISON IVY ALL OVER MY LEGS & ARMS :laugh

Oh No! Kittenface! Poison ivy? You poor woman. I'll bet Saffy was sitting somewhere in the dark last night just watching you running in circles . . . little stinker. I know you were thrilled and relieved to see her today, though.

..Oh, KF...I know that's not funny (especially the poison ivy part)..but that's funny...and I bet you're right, Susan...she was probably watching you the entire time you were searching and calling...My cats don't go outside, but I can't tell you how many times I have walked this house looking and calling for them...I still don't think I have found all of their hiding places...

I'm so sorry you're gonna have to make another trip back to the vet...but I bet she'll be even sorrier!!! Were her babies happy to see her?

Get some rest!!!

I'll tell you what when the vet gets that splint on again she is getting a cone
and then I'll duct tape the splint she won't be getting it all turned around
I'll fix her I'm going to go get the old wooden playpen and put her in it,
I love her to much to let her hurt herself or scare me again
OMG you would have thought she had been gone for a week the way the kittens
acted and of course she is still trying to nurse them and I won't let them she needs
all the calcium to heal faster so they aren't happy with me

Good thinking with your plan to keep Saffy safe for the future, kittenface. Also, good thinking about the nursing moratorium so Saffy can retain her calcium level. :bravo

I like your new signature, KF.

Me too I'm so sorry for being out of it lately I think its all finally
catching up to me But that is so cute I had to send it to a couple of
my cat buddies
I like the floppy part the most it is so true you pick them up and they just go limp
Well the kittens do anyway
