Several years ago while on a cruise in the Mediterranean a juvie Peregrine rode on our ship from Corfu, Greece to Venice, Italy. There must have been song birds somewhere on the ship, for I discovered several piles of feathers.

Good morning everyone - a thick fog has descended on Columbus - it should lift by 10:00 am
I have been downtown this week trying to get down there before it gets too dark to see the ledge which has been a challenge - it gets dark so early - I have not seen one falcon on the ledge or anywhere. Thank you Donna for your update and reassuring words about the whereabouts of Trooper and even Durand since she has not been around much either.

I will continue to watch for our falcons when I go downtown.

Have a great day everyone - trying to get the house ready for the holidays - holidays? Thanksgiving? oh my where has this year gone?

I love Thanksgiving even though it means that the weather is turning colder
:harvest:

I have pictures of that juvie Peregrine on a CD somewhere. I'll have to do a little search here.

I would love to see those pictures, Jane

I remember going to San Francisco and going out on one of the cruises that took you from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate bridge and back; there were sea gulls that followed the boat and actually took food from people - I thought that was exciting - seeing a falcon up close on the cruise ship would have been awesome - thank you for sharing!

You can tell it's slow right now in Columbus!!

I would love to see them too, Jane...

I think we were very spoiled with Scout and Orville...I can't believe I've been staring at this cam since the sun came up, awaiting their arrival. At this point, I'd be happy with a pigeon!!!

Found the CD with the juvie Peregrine, but don't know how to post it on here. I'm going to email Reenie and ask her if she'll put it on here for me. I MUST learn how to do this myself!
And I also like the turkeys! :-)

Great pictures, Jane & thanks for posting, Reenie! It really is too bad this falcon isn't banded...

Thanks to Jane & Reenie for those pics. I never would have thought a peregrine falcon would find its way to a cruise ship!

Thanks to Reenie for putting my photos on here. This juvie Peregrine was up on this high railing on the ship's (Grand Princess) stern. I stayed back there watching for a LONG time! Most people on the ship probably could have cared less.

I had seen those pictures before and I remember thinking at the time, if anybody in the world could spot a juvenile falcon on a cruise ship, it would be Jane.
