Here is a link to the update (& it isn't bad news):

Also, in the process of looking for the update, I discovered that I can now get the cam on the campage, so something has changed again. I hope it stays like this!

Wow, Coriena! Excellent video. I'm surprised Durand didn't come running down the ledge to get the prey. She must have been full, too.

Breakfast in front of the cam was a little surprising to see this morning. Thanks for the video.

Hi ljames! :wavingsnowgirl:

Here's the video; heavily edited due to length. Sorry about the audio. I can't figure out how to turn up the audio on the Mac when I record, without getting feedback. It's too bad because when he gets close to the cam he repeatedly pecks at it.

Additional video to follow.

EDIT: Here's the 2nd video which was about 6 minutes after the 1st.
You can just see his white-ish eyebrow.
(I still feel like this new bird is female)

Thanks for the video's of today, Coriena and Mick.

We got a good look at the male and I couldn't see the light patches on the head, that were so characteristic for Trooper.
But then again, that may have been some temporary thing and the damaged(?) feathers are now replaced, after a mould.
He does look quite large for a male, just as Trooper. To be honest, I have no idea . . .

Thanks for the videos, Mick! The other bird is quite large & my first thought was maybe this is a sister to Durand & that's why she allows another female on the ledge, but if it was a sister to Durand, she would be banded, too. I guess the only sure way to tell whether or not its Trooper is when the box cam is up & they go into the box. :snowmancarrot:

Great videos!! Thank you so much Coriena and Mick for doing all the hard work to get them posted. That was pretty amazing watch Durand eat like that.

I was downtown this evening waiting on my bus when I looked up and there on the Huntington Bank on the corner of the roof was a falcon - just where Trooper liked to sit - I am sure that does not mean much but I sure would like to know if that is him!! It was great to see whoever it was and to watch them up there - you could barely see him - preening himself and looking around - unfortunately, my bus came and I had to leave. It was fun to show my friend the falcon too

Mick, your videos are really great. I'm glad we got confirmation on Durand's bands, and boy she sure chowed down on the prey. It was nice to see them being comfortable so close to each other. Thanks for taking the time to record and edit for us.
