Now, falcon on ledge this morning and Bridget just looked at it and it left.
If this is a female , well , just strange.
( will go look on computer)

I am going to go to computer as, since I last posted this other female di make an advance and Briget had to defend

Interloper visited twice this morning. Went to bottom level of nest box twice. Evicted twice.

great video, better than my 2 . I guess we will have to see how this plays out. not good for eggs. but as long as Bridget remains o.k.

I think she is defending but she has lost 2 males . so ????? maybe a larger male and she is just defending her eggs. I will continue watching

it just seems ot me that is no t there to fight, but to bond ( bands have been wrong before, actually several times)

This is the interloper's band. A band of 36/BH was reported female
hatched in Reston, VA in 2018, but this band is obviously not 36/BH. It is BH/36.

Thank for your video David and captures, Bev. A couple of times there I thought when she chased him "be careful of the eggs"! Rather than showing up empty-taloned, he might at least bring some food! This nest has for years been a source of excitement to us, and unfortunately, this year is no different.

I just watched last couple of interactions just a bit ago. He seemed to be bowing to her. thought that earlier also. So now he he needs to bring some prey, . I can understand her hesitation as she has lost 2 good males.

well now, last few times Bridget went to edge of ledge she was yap pin and looking down an d then flew off, both times. Never out too long

when he came in thi s time and bowed, sh e got up and chupped but did no t run him off. she went back down an d he sat on ledge for q bit and left on own accord.
I am hopeful, maybe he will start bringing prey gifts now

He is there. She tolerates him now, but when she got up and went to ledge, not aggressive, he quickly flew off. She has scared him, but hopefully, he will bring prey

The new male was hatched on the Walt Whitman bridge (25 miles upstream from Wilmington) in 2022.

At last he is bringing food.
