Caught the very end of several feedings today. Looks like Niecey has everyone tucked in for the chilly night ahead. Hopefully this is the last really cold night for a while.

A friend and I had to go downtown this morning to take care of something for our upcoming falcon watch. Around 9:30 or so we saw 85 on the stick, and Niecey was over on the small ledge around from the column, ripping feathers off of something that we were pretty sure was a pigeon. It's now almost 1:00, and Niecey completed a feeding about half an hour ago. The feeding lasted for a good 20 minutes, and wondered if it was the pigeon, All chicks were well fed. Two of them actually moved away from the feeding, as their crops were bulging.

:loveheart: I guess this is 85 at the end of the ledge and Niecey on the back wall as I can only see talons. And both gone as soon as I posted this.

:eggthumb: Too big of a pile to brood. The chicks are asleep near the back corner and Niecey is standing in the doorway like a statue as she does when she spends the nights before she lays her eggs.

:eggthumb: Really quiet here as the chicks are asleep with Niecey lying on the floor of the nest chewing on the wall and 85 is on the point.

:loveheart: Looks as if breakfast has already been served. The chicks are huddled in their corner surrounded by gray feathers. Don't see 85 nor Niecey in cam view..

Missed the feeding(s) this morning, as I had to go for groceries. Tried to do some yard work after lunch when it started dripping, and it's now coming down pretty good. I think it's to rain for the rest of the day. niecey is perched on the shield.

I have not seen a feeding at all today, but am seeing nice sized crops on at least three of the chicks. Also saw two real healthy poop shots a few minutes ago. It has not rained here for about an hour, and the sun was out briefly. Showers are in the forecast overnight.

Just missed most of a feeding. One of the chicks got a foot in its beak. I hate when that happens. The others were watching it, too. I thought Niecey might remove it, but she didn't. I believe the foot went down the hatch.

:eggthumb: When I was here this morning, there were feathers all over the floor and the chicks were huddled in their corner sleeping and I didn't see either parent. I could tell I'd just missed a feed. Now Niecey is in the nest guarding her chicks who are all asleep except for 1 who is standing and preening. Niecey has just moved to the lip of the nest and the 1 chick has laid down now.
