Just discovered the cam is pointing to the ledge now… So the female laid 4 eggs. As the first eyas was hatching, mom picked the shell away and consumed part of the eyas, then removed its body from the nest. The next egg was discovered opened, with a yolk and liquid inside. There were two intact eggs left, but they were not properly incubated. And now the cam is pointed to the ledge. The cam operators have given up? I know there are doubts as to who the female is… has Gaylord been identified as the resident male yet?

I don't think incubation was the issue...sadly...

I did go through the DVR to make sure both were still there..and they are..

Bringing in Breakfast and nest switch..

No chicks in 2025
There are pictures of 2 females fighting for the nest.
I do not know who won.

2 males fought over the female at High Bridge and only 1 chick there.

Maybe a new mate affects how many eggs hatch.

GSB / LaCrosse
one female laid 1 eggs at Lcrosse - which didnt hatch - but when she went to GSB all her eggs hatched and fledged. Lacrosse new girl has 3 banded chicks.
