we have 4 here
I think hatch yesterday.or early thi s morning it is small and do not know if it can get in to feed.there are 2 big and a small on e that are eating so this one needs positive power there was an egg when I checked yesterday. I am sending it a guardian angel :5val:

Thanks Bev....not the best pic from this morning...it was moving..but, not hungry. I think this was the first feed. Its really gonna be up to baby and Mom and Dad..the 4th hatch at Amersfoort was so late, it doesn't even look like its from the same clutch..one feisty chick and mom protected that baby from the get go..

I remember our year at Kings Street I believe in Toronto. We had a chick born 8 days, Ithink later than the others. The bigger ones were great with it.

What I watched was that mom started out feeding them from the right, which put the little one at a disadvantage. Followed up by a feed a few minutes later that she did from the left which I saw get the little one get half a dozen bites at least. He's fairly strong at least at this time. Unfortunately, we seen them go from fairly strong to dying the next day. :egg15:

I did watch one later feed, and the other 3 were stuffed so youngest got a nice private feed. It was hungry.
Hoping this continues. If enough prey, fingers crossed

so youngest has been able to get on either side when the others are full.
I saw i t get a good feed on left side adn is asleep on others after

the later it got a feed on right side. just a short video to show. ( it had to get out of pile first

so fingers crossed here. as long as prey comes in after others are full, it works. once it is bigger, things will be better, I pray
