Kalamazoo- kind of comical… the two checks are at the edge of the nest box looking for mom or dad. Meanwhile, if you go to the parapet cam, you can see a parent is perched on top of the box.

I found information online that the Macomb eyas was banded and named Gabe, I will keep my eye out for his band information,

Just checked Jackson’s cam. There are no chicks in sight, but a parent is sitting on the wall. I notice the last picture of the nest only showed one chick…(After Harding’s loss, this has gotten my attention)

Warren- About an hour ago, Wilma came in with a snack. However only one chick woke up, and they got the WHOLE thing! :egg6:

Three hatches at Sault Ste Marie? Two are sleeping and one is preening until ha starts pecking his sibling’s head. The sibling is very patient and pushes the persistent pest away several times before he gives up…

The lone Jackson chick died on 5/19 or 5/20 for unknown reasons. The only good thing to come of it is that I was able to capture the bands of the Dad as he stood on the windowsill. Turns out he is a 2019 hatch from this nest named Alro (b/blu 56/C), which means he has been mating with his mother the past couple of years!

At the Mt. Clemens nest, two chicks have been fostered to this site from a dangerous site at Detroit Metro Airport. The one female and one male are about five days older than Gabe. They are already out of the balcony and up on the ledge looking at the outside world!

Macomb- Gabe’s new siblings are up on the porch enjoying the view. Meanwhile Gabe is racing back and forth flapping his wings because HE wants to get up there, too! :loveheart:

OH NO...that is just so sad. The picture I posted above from Jackson was 5/19..he looked good..gosh darn.
