:wavingsnowgirl: THANKS for all the beautiful videos! Great job. The cubs sure can scream NOW! LOVE the billboard w Hope on it, sooooo cute. And probably true!! A couple times when I tuned in, she was in the background, lifting her head up and then burying it again trying to sleep! You are all quite witty and enjoyable posts. Looked at Ted and Lucky's camera too, they were moving around abit. But I am confused: I didnt think 2 males would be denning together? Are they brothers? I looked up Shadows Clan family tree and didnt see either of their names, and am not that familiar with just who Ted and Lucky are. Would appreciate anyone who can post info re them. THX in advance :sfwave:

One of the viewers has sent the researchers a video showing what she believes is 3 small cubs. The researchers aren't saying whether they agree or not. I watched the video & did see a spot on the video where she must have thought she saw 3 babies. This video definitely shows a number of shots that clearly show 2 cubs, but its kinda confusing with Hope tangled up with Lily & the babies, & the various paws. It does look like Hope is helping Lily keep the babies warm. Here's the video:

Thanks, Pat--such cuties! Hopefully all the licking they're getting from Lily & Hope is keeping whatever creepy-crawlies that are causing Lily & Hope to scratch & shake their heads off the babies.

I have also wondered that if a yearling male was in the den with Lily & her cubs, if he would be as good. The responses about male dogs being good to young puppies reminded me of when we had kittens in the house some years ago. We had taken in 2 female cats who were perching on our outside windowsill & one was pregnant. Once she had the kittens & they were old enough to run around the house, the 2 male cats were the ones who treated them so well--even letting them pretend to nurse on them. One female cat just tried to stay away from them, & the other actually swatted at them. She got paid back when the kitten that we kept grew up to be a 28-pound tom!

Lily's home town is trying to win a Reader's Digest funding prize for a new heating system
for the Ely school... Voting ENDS FEB. 7

A late start with this but we are moving up quickly in the ranking. US residents 18 and over can vote 10 times each day. Ely, MN could win one of ten municipal prizes (up to $40,000). Let's show America's Favorite Small Town that Lilypadders can make things happen for them again this year. Vote every day. Spread the word to friends and family and post on your own Facebook page. Look for the heading “What Makes Your Town The Best” on the opening screen and tell them about NABC and the bears. It could get them featured in an article in Reader’s Digest Magazine!

1. The first time you vote fill in your name & address (change the city, state to your own) & email.
2. Hit the CHEER button.
3. On the next screen hit CHEER again. Do this 9 more times.
4. When you vote the next day, just log in with your email then hit CHEER a total of 10 times.
5. Don't forget to go to "What Makes Your Town The Best Of America" and tell them about the research bears and NABC & even upload a picture.

Those videos are great, Pat! This is the second time I saw of video where one of the babies was trying to nurse on Hope. I guess they figure a warm & furry body has to be mom. These babies sure seem to be healthy, & Hope is being just wonderful. On the FB Lily page, they pointed out how patient & gentle Hope was with dislodging her sibling from her face & said that cubs have razor-sharp claws!

Pat the video of the cub hanging on Hope's face is great! It's funny but at the same time I really feel for Hope's predicament.

So many cams...so little time...
