:flirty: At 6:42 after some alerting by both, Victoria flew to the far snag. About a minute later Nicholas goes to the bowl and sees the 2nd egg for the 1st time. He gingerly climbed down and got on his eggs. After a few minutes, Victoria flew from the snag to the left off screen.

:15heartbeat: Both are in their usual places when eggs or young are in the works and both were asleep till the dog/coyote barked. I am hoping Nicholas gets plenty of sleep tonight as he remained awake last night for the fireworks and partying that were in the distance. He alerted when it got real heavy before midnight! He kept looking back over his shoulder where you could see the fireworks rise above the treeline at intervals. You could even make out some words at times, but the partiers settled after awhile.

:shockedsanta: Came in to try and see if I could find Nic as I did not see him last night at bedtime. Tried this morning, but was unable to get the cams. I was here searching on the DVR before bev posted above, but I did see Vic on the nest at 3:32 and who I assumed was Nic landing on a small branch (that he normally doesn't use) above and to the rear of the nest. Vic was alerting and then I noticed how skinny it looked ... intruder (appeared to have white head, so I believe it was an eagle) who left after a minute or so! Went to the cow cam and I could see why it left ... Nic came roaring in and chased it from the area!! All is well! Went to FB to see what EC says and do not see anything yet, but they were controlling the cam at the time.

Yes bev, I know this happened after you posted. I posted the incident happened at 3:32. Nic and Vic did a nest exchange shortly before I posted what I saw. Your post was not here when I came in and I was here quite awhile, I came out and posted before realizing you had been in and posted while I was watching, so I erased my original post and redid it as above. You were talking about the hawks and I was talking about the intruder eagle. I wrote that I was here before you posted, trying not to look foolish in case someone read my original post, hoping they would understand why I erased it. I too watch from YT, but park here, so I post in the right place. It was reported on FB by a commentator, that Nic also chased off a vulture today from someone who saw it in person. So he has had his hands full today with all kinds of intruders: vulture, hawks, eagle!

:flirty: First nest exchange was at 6:38 this morning and Nicholas waited patiently on the eggs until he saw Victoria in the distance at 9:57 and he flew off the nest. Victoria came in and settled on the eggs where she remains as I leave.

:15heartbeat: Victoria is on the nest tonight and I am unable to find Nicholas on any of the cams, but I am sure he is nearby. Did not see any reports of intruders today.
