:15heartbeat: Victoria on the nest and I do not see Nicholas tonight. The main cam and cam 3 are 3-4 hours behind. Only current cams are the overhead and the cow cam. EC must be aware of problems as they have the cow cam aimed at the nest tonight, which I have never seen them do.

:girlsad3: The cams are back and the mosquitoes are horrible tonight. Some other type insects there too. They are worrying her to death.

:1val: Cams are down here, found this on FB from EC, but they weren't able to get them back up by noon as they hoped to:

"Good morning, Friends! Cams are down for the moment, but we hope to be up and running by noon. Thanks for your patience!"

:1val: Still down at 5:00 nest time!

:1val: Cams have been back for an hour and Victoria is on the nest at 7:10. I do not see Nicholas.

:1val: Victoria is on the nest at 5:40. Don't Know if Nicholas will give her any more breaks before nightfall. I didn't see Nicholas tonight, but I thought I could hear him respond to her vocally at dusk off cam. She remains on the eggs tonight at 9:30.

:1val: For awhile, I thought Nicholas was going to spend the night on the eggs, but Victoria came in at about 6:22 to relieve him. Nicholas is spending the night on the snag and right now at about 7:36 he is in a squatted position. It was raining some earlier.

:1val: At 6:21, Nicholas to the nest and Victoria flew a couple minutes later to the far snag. The mosquitoes are horrid tonight. You can not see the switch off from the nest cam as it skips ahead several minutes at this time. I think it was cam 3, I had to go to. Such a shame with hatch coming soon. I did notice Victoria looking down and listening when she stood today. So hoping pip soon!

Victoria returned to a branch on the left of the nest tree quite some time ago. Two or three minutes before nine, she is getting a little antsy and with head bobbing, I believe she is giving Nicholas the evil eye, because she wants back on the nest. Picking up on her cues, Nicholas stood up from the eggs around 9:00 and she came to the nest a minute later and got over the eggs for the night shift. He went to one of the branches on the left.

:1val: Nicholas to the eggs at 6:13. Victoria had been over them since sometime after 10 this morning as I think she wants to be close by for what's coming. No pip seen during multiple views of eggs today, but she continues to look and listen!! She went to the far snag, so nearby. At 6:34 from cam 3, Victoria flies from the snag to a branch on the nest tree. By 6:48, she is maneuvering through the branches and to the nest. A couple minutes later, Nicholas realizes his time on the eggs is up and he stands and goes to the edge of the nest and flies at 6:51. On the cow cam, you can see him fly behind both snags toward the right as a black streak. Then in a few seconds, he flies back and lands on the top branch of the 1st snag to perch. He remains in this position at 9:35 in the rain and wind as does she on the eggs.

:1val: On chat, the mod is saying a starburst was seen by someone on one of the eggs at 9:21. They are saying hatch in progress. I have been going back on the DVR. I have not been able to see a definite pip yet, but Nic's behavior a few minutes ago indicates something may be going on. Will search further.

:1val: At 4:10 there is a possible pip. Then at 4:12, Nic flies in to the nest with a fish that he proceeds to eat. Vic is making the softest vocals to him that I have ever heard an eagle make. He is not giving her any though. At one point, I thought he was going to snap on her. Then at 4:17, he does snap on her when he thinks she is too close. At 4:21, Vic flies and Nic watches her and then gets on the eggs immediately no longer worried about the fish, leaving the tail and what's left of where it lies. She returns at 6:24 and eats the rest of the fish and Nic flies.

:7val: Pip at 9:14:33 has increased in size!!
