here is from feb 28. report I lost :tantrum2:

I have been watching daily but was too sad to post pictures, with deceased Luna in nest. .
Cal is doing very well. I feel that Luna is with him in spirit. He lay by her touching her and stopped a parent from taking her off nest. It was sad but also uplifting to watch

One of adults tried and Cal protected it. It was heartwarming and sad

Cal is very active - he climbed up the fat branch up onto the transverse limb and perched -
KING of the WORLD!
He really seemed proud of himself!

Since Cal fledged, he/ she has never looked back.
Very smart. Today, it was very windy and Cal knew it was best to lie in nest.
