Look @ all those bugs crawling up the back of her neck that the sun is highlighting right now!! As I type this, obviously she has been joined by an unwanted!!

I think it's the same visitor, but can't see his left beak from this view! Momma is not happy!!!

Poor guy!! A2 is screaming @ him and he's got a piece of broccoli caught in his beak! And all he wants to do right now is blend in!! :teehee:

Mod said A2 went to the branch 1st, but I thought it was the other way around. Anyway, A2 tried to cozy up next to him after awhile and he flew to next branch up. But, I may be wrong! :15heartbeat:

Both in the nest for a short bit, then he went to a branch. Eventually, A2 went to a different branch. I think we'll see Samson again too! Hoping they won't turn the cams off before we do. :15heartbeat:

While looking for a video this past week, I came upon this one. When I saw the sub-adult here ... she reminded me of someone we all know ... and I found myself erasing speckle by speckle no longer present and the darkened areas of the beak no longer present and lightening those that are and I was left with ... Was this A2 visiting and talking to Romeo using her "inside voice" over a year ago as she may have looked then? It's a well done 15' video starting with Romeo incubating the eggs and ending with Juliet chasing off the sub-adult who was there for over an hour. gretchen_AEF (Admin): FRIDAY Tuck-In: A2 and the other frequent visitor arrived at the nest tonight before 6pm and are roosting at the nest again tonight. A2 is perched on Cam 2 (Sunset Branch) and the other eagle is perched on Cam 1 (Wallenda) and in good view on Cam 3 to the right of the nest. Oops, now the eagle is in the nest. They have been going back and forth in and out of the nest, but showing peaceful behavior. Bugs are bad! Enjoy the show! SED Y'all

This is the 2nd morning and 1 night that I have been unable to find the defect/mark on the left beak definitively of the male. I don't know if what I had been seeing was debris caught in area and now gone or different male. I did think Thursday night I saw it however. But, Friday morning ... no! This was before he left the tree that morning after spending the night. Need to go back and find other ways to ID. :biggrin:

leigh_AEF (Moderator): What a nice visit from Samson and A2. Samson moved to the Sunset branch at 1:29 and flew at 1:51. A2 followed him. Hopefully they will be back.

aka_AEF (Moderator): Good afternoon Hamlet family. Looks like we have a very windy day here as we watch for the return of Samson and A2, or other visitors! Samson arrives and does little wind surfing on the Wallenda Branch at 3:06 and then flew from the nest tree at 3:27. Samson arrives back at the nest at 4:20 with vocals. He flies about 4:45. Ground crew on way to nest.
