Thanks for posting that Carolyn!!

The problem is this ledge (in my humble opinion)...to the best of my knowledge, the top of that ledge is metal (same as at Richmond) There is nothing for them to dig their talons into if a gust of wind catches them. I just shook my head when they posted earlier that they are used to them falling off the ledge..I'm sorry...that is just not normal...but, I guess it is for this nest.

I'm just gonna have to bite my tongue!!!

I wonder if they could put that astro turf or that black non skid strip stuff you put on stairs. on the ledge like they did in Atlanta (I think it was Atlanta)

I am just home. they can put stripping on the metal. Gord did at a a site.
I will say something tomorrow SGB about this roof ledge. I may as well stick my neck out

had to put out a fire so to speak at the Bell site today. What is one more

going through all my tape now. It did not look windy when that female fell . I saw her slip earlier and Peter was worried about young girl as she slipped also and almost went over*( poor guy , I had him monitor while I was running video)

went back to video I had up to after 7pm MT

2 were basically there all day. on ledge and in box

at 6:05, youngster3 walks on ledge from left , right to box, so as I am watching cam on computer from me to box. they always disappeared by walking just out o f site on ledge

sorry I could not record over it as my space had run out.

6:10pm all were in box

6:29pm ish. a feed by mom on ledge just about out of view.

mom has been out side box but gone at 11pm

I watched the flapping this morning..they are slipping..not sure if that means the surface is metal or smooth concrete...

I did say something on the FB page..and KF, you are correct..they put something on the ledge in Atlanta..

3 i nest box

today- 2 oldest -39 days
nest one is 38 and nest one not sure but younger
oldest, probably a male and female ( using stats on when female is born )
I am thinking i f one of these is to male then he is flying) or they are not telling us something. Did they do a head count.

I am being optimistic and saying that if one female is to still on roof, then male is flying

my can is up now and recording.

quail put on ledge by person with umbrella. I will have picutres late in day
kids were in box at time and I saw their wings fluttering first

1:26pm - mom just came to ledge and picked up a quail . do not know if she wen t off with it as I was typing, but still see some on ledge

will have to wait till I pull video to see

kids still in box but youngster looking out

adult was on roof of box today.
4:32pm = mom in and did a feed for 2 as one wandered out of view of cam

well young girl wandered out of view also and then came back when mom came in.

after feed young girl wandered out o f view and then the other
other

now 3 areat box at 6:43 pm

quail is put out and mom comes in and takes

mom slips off during feed

mom om roof of box adn then flies off

one walks out of view

young girl had gone out o f view and then mom came in an d she came back for feed , then they both go out o f view

at 9:06pm MT mom is on perch , 3 in box and I am hoping she is watching one on roof.

thanks for the vids, Bev...ya know, if that second vid were mine, I would post a shorter version on the FB page to demonstrate how easy it is to slip on that ledge. Having said that, after reading their latest post, I'm not sure they would appreciate it...LOL

nice feed around 10:21 am all 3 fed well. * started before then but would have to look back
2 were out of site for a bit and now all 3 at box at 10:53
