2025 season recap
The 2025 season began in March when two adult falcons were observed using the nest box. They were identified by the Midwest Peregrine Society as the same pair who used it last year, a 12-year-old female and a 16-year-old male. This female falcon fledged from St. Cloud, Minnesota and has nested in this box since 2016. The male fledged from Gary, Indiana and this is his second year paired with this female.

2026 Season Updates
April update

We are currently awaiting the arrival of eggs in the nest box.

In recent weeks, the pair has been observed visiting the site frequently, maintaining a scrape and engaging in courtship behaviors such as head-bows. These activities have been ramping up in frequency indicating that egg-laying is likely to occur soon.

The male peregrine falcon has been identified by the Midwest Peregrine Society as a banded, 4-year-old that fledged from Minneapolis City Hall in 2022. The female is a 13-year-old that fledged from the St. Cloud Correctional Facility in 2013. This year marks her eleventh breeding season at this nest box. The male is a new mate for her.
