They discuss the fireworks, the kids, and a successful year, then kiss and Barb leaves,
King Boh hops on bridge and surveys his kingdom - isnt he a beautiful bird?!
5.35 King Boh exits

mid morning Barb came to nest, perched on curb and slept in peace for awhile

I think Barb - I counted on her juvie brown - but a lotta thats turned white

12:21pm - Barb is still there - occasionally admiring herself in the 'mirror.'

(Is Barb waiting for a fledgling to come home? (Wouldn't she have food?) Or is she recovering from the fireworks? They seemed to last forever last night... my Tiger was not a happy camper!)

Both adult falcons are spending a LOT of time in their nest today
So nice to see them! As always - I cant tell them apart now!
They are both spectacularly beautiful birds

I'm just getting home, so thank you for the coverage today!! I hope the kids survived all those fireworks last night..

So far, I'm still able to tell them apart..Boh has a very white chest and no bands...Barb still has speckles and some vertical bars on her breast AND is banded...when in doubt (and if ya can see the legs) look for the bands...or lack of bands..

I don't think I ever posted these...but they are from yesterday, late afternoon:

Yes - I (think) I could hear them 20 miles away! I'd guesstimate they were less than 1 mile from the nest - over the harbor - and you know how sound travels over the water!

Oh Koppie! We have just learned that Koppie, the male juvenile falcon, was taken to the Baltimore Zoo vet hospital. We understand that he is fine now and will be back at the ledge on Monday or Tuesday. This is all of the information that we have at this time. We'll be sure to post again when we learn more details.
