I went out Tuesday night when it started to cool down and only saw Ozzie lounging on the Dominion Sign, his favorite spot.

I went down this morning for about an hour. Nothing, but the Harriet flew onto the Dominion sign. About 15 minutes later she flew off south toward the river and returned immediately with heavy prey that was making her fly really low. She flew around the Dominion building and headed east. I decided to go east and check things out and found her on the Bank of America sign defeathering. After looking around for JR, I found him right around the corner lounging on the other B of A sign. He was hanging his wing all the way over the sign, obviously pretty relaxed and probably sluggy in the heat. Harriett moved the prey to one of the vents next to her in the B of A building. I think this must be one of the cache locations, it is an old nest location. She stood there for a while poking out watching. Nothing more happened so I left. Of note, the Wells Fargo building is directly across from where Jr is perched and is historically a collision building (last year) so hoping he stays safe.

I dragged Wayne down with me at noon, once again the heat is oppressive. The good news is it didn't take very long to find Ozzie, and then was able to find JR. on the building across the street. I digiscoped shots with my IPhone since I stupidly forgot the camera :( Jr. was on the old BB&T building, which is where they have nested in the balcony a few times. Ozzie was on the Suntrust sign trying to stay in the shade.
