Thanks Freddie (guess we had the same idea)

Here are some snippets of what happened AFTER Freddie's vid...It's long...but, self-feeding can go on forever..you'll see the DVR time stamp throughout..Very interesting!! (I don't know why it got so jerky about half way through..probably because I was stopping/starting the recorder so much..LOL~oh well..)

they are self feeding way too soon. this feed went on for at least 3 hours. They did get a few pieces of prey( duck for one). but they expended so much energy,

I sure hope a beak feed will take place Do1 will be expecting green is feeding . I am a wee bit disappointed in her, even if she is young. These kids are a young 3 weeks. Green spends a lot of time calling. not sure why.

Peter and I took a trip down there last night. lots of food was on ledges. Food was brought in late but there again. self feed. they have not had a beak feed since yesterday morning and DO1 did it.

I am watching very carefully . I need to see better.

I had to go searching for the last feed...I never found the beginning..I think because it was so close to the live stream..anyway, I left in the counters..

Started out as beak feeding..

Image

Next thing I new, the 2 kids on the right decided to start self feeding..

This seemed to be a signal for Green that she could leave..LOL

I am impressed with their self feeding skills. Radisson usually does more by now but these are youngest of our Alberta bunch, and I worry but they are thriving. the kids change places so much. thank goodness we color taped

cam moved down some early morning after Green was dancing on it :egg13:

nice shots SGb.

I think Green has temporarily lost control of the kids... :teehee: The few feeds I have watched (and forgotten to post pics of) seem to have the kids eventually taking control of the feed..its too funny...I mean when that kid pulled that large prey into the box yesterday, I thought to myself..boy..Green's gonna have her hands full...

Sorry you're not happy! I don't blame you one bit, seeing that the kids have found the ledge.

I've been happy, however, to be able to watch many of the women's World Cup soccer matches held in Canada . . . and to even see some of them played in the beautiful stadium at Edmonton!

it has been a successful soccer event. Edmonton loves hosting sports events. I could not afford the tickets to go so close to fledge watch as we buy parking pass etc. for watch. We are not thought of as a soccer country but our young ones have really taken to it. my grandsons love playing it. my daughters liked it also but hen became swimmers. LOL

me too, Bev...I'm starting to think they prefer it...especially the boys!! They are even starting to defeather!! How many times have we watched an "almost ready to fledge" kid act like they didn't know how to do that..

I haven't checked the Calgary kids in a very long time, but they were the same way!!
