I know we all tend to think of last year but it could be as simple as just too much in belly. I am off line for next day or so so I hope all stays well here.
E5 has had some food today.

:girlsad3: I have been able to observe E5 for a few minutes and am very concerned. Mod is reporting it has not been interested in food since yesterday morning. I hope this turns around. Must leave for day, will look for your updates tonight.

I checked in on them a couple of times tonight & of course they're sleeping. I did see both of them moving, quite energetically (as opposed to looking weak). The one on the cam side of the nest had a full crop but I couldn't see the crop on the other one. Fingers crossed that nothing is seriously wrong.

I just checked chat and I believe it's a mod that's reporting E5 has passed away. How very sad for this site. :sorrow:

I f you go on Hancock you will see. I am just so sad. I have been off line but watching as I truly felt he would be O.K. He seemed to have something stuck at bottom of throat.

He had a [poop shot, snuggled up to mom, he lay his head down and you could see see him open his beak a few times and then he was gone. I never watch this stuff but for some reason I did. I think I was willing him to breathe.

Rest in peace sweet thing

This is truly a sad week on the nest. Everyone was so worried about E6 and not being feed. Then the change in E5 was very fast . I watch this nest all day at work and always felt that there was something stuck in the neck area. I feel more for the mods that have to answer question after question. Sad day at the nest.

Ya know...I just haven't been watching this nest (or NE FL) like I normally would...(I always love the babies...)..and its probably because of this reason...just not ready or prepared for the losses that we all know will occur during a nesting season...(gotta pace myself)...so, hugs to all of you that watched and followed this nest every day...its always so heart wrenching to lose one you've grown to love...yes, its nature, but it doesn't make it any easier or less painful...
