from fb Southwest Florida Eagle Cam

Ozzie is continuing to do well and has began to perch. He is eating on his own and enjoying delicious servings of mice, rats and herring. Below is a radiograph showing Ozzie's broken clavical on the left side near his shoulder. ------->

Harriet is going to have to deal wiht intruders and that is not good for hunting. She will not want to leave E6 long with intruders around.

hopefully she can make them stay away but it does not take long for them to realize that one is missing. My fingers are crossed but this could be tough for Oz when he is released, and tough for E6 as well.

not trying to be a downer, just stating what we all know .

so fingers crossed and if the people on the ground watching had wings , they would be there helping Harriet out.
:5val:
God speed to Oz and my heart is with Harriet and E6 :egg17: :egg17:

In the chat said that the E6 recently ate yesterday afternoon. :egg14:

The whole day without eating, and Harriet wanted the E6 trained flights.

E6 loudly asked Mom about the meal in the end she flew.

16.26 Mom just came from a fish for dinner

It would be nice if he would accompany her fishing. Wonder how far away she has to go...

Some things I have read today: Ozzie (per Dr. @ CROW) is more laid back than other birds treated @ CROW d/t human exposure @ nest and area as opposed to birds from further out in the wild, he will start rehab after 1 week of healing, interview with medical director of Crow and Mod Pritchett will be @ 5 pm on Friday, another update on Ozzie from CROW due this eve, Harriet has been gone from nest since 10 am.

Mods have mentioned intruders are flying through nest area now d/t Ozzie not there to fly borders of territory. Very high quality photo of Harriet when she finally had her fill of one of the intruders recently:

 CROW update this eve is reporting Ozzie is doing well and continues to eat and drink on his own and was moved to outside enclosure today for more room and stimulation from familiar sounds of nature!

at 8:24 MT E6 has flown to tree by pond. I just saw him at nest tree about 20 minutes ago so it was recent . Harriet still in nest tree. I do not think he has been fed yet.

He is flying so well.
pictures when I can

I know we say trust the eagles but.... This is not a good thing. hope she is out right now getting some .

first thing I did was check. Yes Harriet brought it over from beyond pond area and E6 followed her to nest. So nice.
but poor Harriet. constantly chasing intruders. So glad E6 was this age or this nest would have been in trouble

will try and do some photos later but I am off
