The morning's work was busy building the nest...... Blue rings are both legs, but I could not decide which one is the male and the female.

.......we have found a broken egg in the nest, and it suggests that a marten have stopped by eating the eggs.
It may be that a crow saw the eggs if the adult were not in the nest, but we do not know exactly, says Kim Skelmose.

It is rare that lay eggs again, but we saw an example last year with a couple with eggs later in May after the first was dropped.
So we can hope that we are lucky that this couple lay again one or two eggs, says Kim Skelmose.

A video clip displaying the mating process of the Black Eagles which breed in Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in South Africa. Notice how quick the mating is, finished in 15 sec. I also find it amazing that the male doesn't injure the female when jumping on and off her with those dangerous weapons which we like to call talons.

The webcam video DOF now reveal what happened to the egg white-tailed eagle Friday, March 20, 2015. One of the greatest dramas of nature played in the dark.
Exactly a week ago we got up to the sight of a sea eagle nest empty. Both eggs and eagles had disappeared, and no one had seen, who stole their eggs.

In the video you can see that the male goes to visit the nest while the female is on the egg, but the nest is so deep that the egg did not hardly ever seen
