Bird Cams Around the World

They are in shock mode, obviously banding day, could hear parents in the background, later they were fed, twice that I saw. The little one looks like he is going to survive and I truly thought that he wouldn't when I first viewed this cam. Didn't watch from the beginning, but I see the little one standing up front being fed every time now.

Feeding was frantic, somebody grabbed the food and mom had to go in and get it. Saw her trying to feed one chick a foot and leg with bands on it. Fortunately, they didn't eat it, but not sure somebody didn't . Little one had a rough time, but didn't back down.

Thanks ljames....I swear, that little one is spunky...and mom is very focused on it...unfortunately, it always made it a target..and half the time the larger ones would grab the food out of its mouth...but, have no fear..it ate a lot..

I'll probably get these in the wrong order. Definitely a frantic feed!!

It obviously got enough to eat..crop is huge.

I believe mom was trying to pull a foot out of the baby's mouth. Sibling trying to help..

Later little one is keeping everybody warm for the night.

This feed was very intense, sort of. Prey was big, and parent began to feed when two of the chicks latched onto it , I was afraid they were going to be dragged off the platform when parent was trying to get the prey away. The young one even tried to get it too. Everything settled down eventually all were fed and happy.

Baby is always taken care of. Starting to feel sorry for the chick next to the right of parent.

Well parent brought in prey , then turned away from the landing, and came right back but ended up dropping the prey. Very confusing had to replay the whole thing. Everybody was looking over the edge and I thought that a chick had fallen, but no, it was the prey, just as she landed on the edge of the nest, she lost it.

Dad's like, oh heck, I have to go get more.

Two inside and two outside. One has left the platform.






Sorry, I ended up deleting the shots from yesterday, but two were (including youngest) eating prey inside the box, while parent watched and the other two were like, aren't you going to do something about this.

I hope they all stay safe.

They were all in the nest last night. Not sure if they have fledged or not, but they are flapping around and jumping/flying anywhere they want near the nest. Well, not the youngest.

so early this morning all four were accounted for.
They were jumping from here to there landing on the roof of the nest, lost track of one of them, but then the one on the roof flew, jumped upward, then I saw a juvie falling straight down.









So this afternoon they are all back, I don't know how the one that was falling at a good rate of speed manages to return, maybe he was rescued. In these pictures you can see that one of the juvies did not stick his landing on the rail and fell below, but it must not be that far down because he flew right back up. In fact I'm going to quit watching for now
