I didn't follow the nest, but I knew there was a problem. Every falcon death is a great loss, especially if it can be avoided. My guess would also be Trich, too sad. I am so sorry.

Trichomoniasis Trichomoniasis is caused by the flagellate protozoan Trichomonas gallinae. Trichomoniasis is occasionally diagnosed in raptors that consume infected doves. Virulent strains produce cheesy necrotic lesions that may block passage of food and impair breathing. Sick doves appear depressed and oral lesions may show externally as bulges beneath the head. I am surprised the falcon would nest there. Its not condusive to her - and both last years chix died. I cant view this - it makes me sad - but I'm keeping up with this thread. I'm keeping up with the Orange thread - are you?
