Thanks for the pictures from last night, ljames. Niecey is brooding and Little Dad up on the camera perch. It is raining here AGAIN. Wish we'd get rid of this stuck weather pattern.

Thanks for your pics, ljames! I remember seeing the little one's head in that position last eve. This morning, I came in at the end of a feed by Niecey. Then she settled them! Lil Dad is lying on the point cam watching. There's an overcast with a light, rain now.

Just watched most of a feeding of what I THINK was a Catbird. From Niecey's position it was hard to tell if all were fed, but it looked like it. No rain here since this morning.

Thanks for the pics, ljames! At 7:30, Niecey is standing and huddling the chicks and Lil Dad is on the point. It looks a little windy and he turned his back to us to face it.

I've been out for a while. Saw Little Dad on the point when I tuned in about five minutes ago. He relieved himself and then flew, most likely to get out of the rain which started here about 20 minutes ago.

Lil Dad was there with the chicks after they had been alone for a bit. Next thing I saw Niecey was on the nest with the chicks, so I must have missed a feeding. Also, I seemed to have lost the picture of Niecey with the chicks afterwards, too.

Oops, I missed his departure! I was at South Bend watching Maltese and Peace's 1st egg hatch.

Thanks for the pic, catwoman! Checking in before the derby, Niecey is on the point zipping her feathers and Lil Dad is on the front shield. One of the chicks was looking up at Dad earlier, but now all are asleep!

Caught the end of a feeding about five minutes ago. One chick was more interested in preening itself than eating. Niecey is on the shield and Little Dad on the point. Very light rain is falling now, although it's been dry most of the day.

:egg15: Well, that's a derby I'll never forget! I see they've eaten and Niecey and Lil Dad have traded spots, although she is facing inward on the shield.

At 7:34 EDT, I came in on a feed by Niecey that all the chicks are very interested in. Lil Dad is on the point. It looks as if there is a light rain now and water is puddled on the ledge near the nest box from previous rain, but everybody looks dry!

I was just about to post about a feeding about half and hour ago when I heard falcon sounds. Flipped back over to the cam and found Little Dad in front of the scrape and Niecey doing a second feeding. Little Dad retreated to the wire at the camera perch, but now he's gone. Steady rain here, but not pouring. I think it's supposed to quit some time later this afternoon.

Thanks for the pictures, Loza. Chicks are alone at the moment, but I'm sure the adults are close by. Rain had quit here a little while ago, but it's dripping again. And for those wondering, the scrape is under cover. However, if it's windy and raining, the scrape gets wet.
