I checked the cam last night around 10 and Niecey was sacked out at the time. Should have tried a half hour later, but am happy for the reports this morning. Lil Dad is on the eggs now while Niecey is on the stick getting rained on.

Hubby received email from PPL. They have 3 cameras on a peregrine nest on top of the PPL Headquarters bldg. in downtown Allentown. WJNZ-TV also sponsors. Haven't seen them yet.

I'm thinking an extra falcon heard, but not seen!!

Okay, when I came in Lil Dad was lying peacefully on the eggs. Suddenly, I heard screaming from 2 falcons while he lay there and his beak was not moving. Directly he got up and went outside and the screaming continued and he started to contribute. Eventually, Niecey flies to the shield after I had seen a falcon flying through the buildings. Lil Dad flies and I think it was him or another falcon that circled back and swooped over Niecey as she stood on the shield. Then, there is no Lil Dad and I believe he is on the chase. Niecey went to the nest eventually. The terrible sounding screams were sustained and seemed to be coming from somewhere else on the Rachel Carson building, but out of view!! I believe the intruder from 2 days ago is still around!!

Niecey is lying on the eggs and I thought I could hear a falcon nearby, out of view on occasion. Quiet now.

Soft cries again, not Niecey, but probably Lil Dad nearby!

A few more soft cries @ intervals probably Lil Dad, still unable to find him on any cam. Niecey stood once during this to adjust and back down on eggs! Soft cries continue.

Someone Lil Dad(?) most likely flew directly down from above over the point and outward, a few minutes ago. After a minute, I could hear soft cries again. I think Lil Dad is patrolling the area. Niecey continues to lie on the eggs.

Edit to add: I feel he came off the Rachel Carson building from above somewhere.

All is quiet now and she is preening and cleaning her talons. The better to stick them in someone if needed!! :teehee:

She is back to lying on eggs @ 5:45 EST. Lil Dad is not seen nor heard.

Niecey kept looking above her while lying in the nest and gets up and goes to the door and continues looking upward. Went to shield and Lil Dad appears on point and definitely on high alert looking all around him and upward!! He's even sneaking peeks tip-toed downward!! We have definitely had an intruder!!

He's gone again. Left while I was typing. She remains on the shield. Niecey back to lying on eggs @ 6:02 EDT.

Was just watching a falcon on the point and it didn't look like Lil Dad. Niecey is on the shield and did not move while he was there. He looked around and then flew toward the train station. Hope he goes away. They had an intruder in Wilmington the other day. Hope to see Lil Dad before it gets dark.

I saw Little Dad make a brief appearance on the point a little while ago. Perhaps he's after some dinner. Tough day for hunting here, very few birds have been at my feeders today. Tomorrow is to be better, but also windy.

Had to take a phone call. Heida, I thought that was Lil Dad on the point earlier. Have been gone and not seen recent action.
Please read back, you all. There has been an intruder here this afternoon, although not seen on cam!
