:buzzybee: Both are on the green perch. I hope none of them end up below on that ledge that they can not make it back to the nest as they do some seasons before they fledge ...

Only one on cam. Lone chick walks back and forth between cam and nest.

:5val: Thanks for your pic, catwoman! I think they may be doing fledge watch here. I checked Kate's blog and she has 2 updates, 1 from yesterday and 1 from earlier today. Today's blog talks about the "downtown falcons" with pics of 3 and 4 young and the "Cathedral falcons", also with pics. The blog from yesterday talks about the 2 chicks at Cathedral who are ledge walking now, also with pics. So, the chick in your pic today was able to make it back to the nest from the ledge! This is an excerpt from yesterday's blog:

This morning at 6:18am both of the Pitt peregrine chicks walked off the nest and out of camera view. They’re now officially ledge walking.

Thanks, SWINWK!

Kate's right, they're coming and going as they please. When I first tuned in, they were both there--now neither of them is.

:penguin: From "Kate's Blog":

Yesterday, 5 June 2019 at around 4:20pm, Michelle Kienholz watched both young peregrines flying at the Cathedral of Learning. “Yellow” landed on the 30th floor balcony. “Red” flew so well that he chased his parents, trying to grab food from them.

Michelle noticed the birds because they were so vocal. If you hear squawking in the air near the Cathedral of Learning, look up and you may see the peregrines.

Photo on blog. Down further there are also other reports and photos of them.

:girlsad3: I know some saw this on FB today, but wanted to bring it here also. Personally, I am always saddened when we lose one of a mated pair from a site for whatever reason if that is in fact what has happened here. Myself, I am thinking this might be a male. What say you?

:leafwave:

Kate confirmed it's a new female. There has been another female (assuming Hope) around, but the new female & male (assuming Terzo) are doing flappy flying, which is territorial, and the other female (Hope?) has been trying to take shots at her.

Remember when Hope first got here, she would occasionally return to her old nest site at a bridge? Maybe she was off territory and this new one saw an opportunity.

Kate is monitoring and there is a gentleman who has video of the new female. I think Kate makes mention that instead of the new female talking to her mate, it might be 2 females vocalizing to each other.

I guess we will have to see what unfolds...

:buzzybee: I came to post the same. I thought it was male because the barring seemed broken and not heavy, clear chest and Kate mentioning the dark hood. I did struggle with possible size and lighter coloring of cere and feet. If this is the case, I am worried about Hope and do not want to see any harm to her or others.
