:1val: Blocked feed in progress per Mom. Looks as if Mom and chick ate it all as she did not leave to store. Didn't get to see the chick and it's crop.

Feed has just started...blocked. I think the baby was so excited when mom got off of it, it popped right up..I missed that pic.

:1val: Update from site with great pic of family together. They are going to band. Wonder how Mom will do when the cage goes up? At least I assume it will go up as in past years. To me, I have thought Mom reacts strongly and sometimes nervously to situations, maybe because of her youth, but she is a "force" and I love her for it!!



Dad here now, so Mom is either on break or will be back shortly with a feed.

Dad still here at 11:57, so Mom is on her break.

Dad just returned with a fresh kill ( :sorrow: )...he's decided to give the entire bird to the baby...now he's starting to figure out he must defeather first!!

:1val: I was here for that feed and am wondering if the head is being brooded now. I came in awhile ago and she was relaxed brooding the chick. At 11:50 just for a split second, they moved the cam view to a building and when they came back Mom was giving the cam the evil eye. I decided to wait and see how long she would watch it. Mistake ... finally an insect flew to the left of her and she diverted her gaze to track it's circular path at 12:18. She immediately went back to staring at the cam. And continued to do so until 12:23 when she finally relaxed and has stopped staring at the cam. Mom DOES NOT take things with a grain of salt!! :teehee: Wonder how banding day will go ...

SWINWK, I'd be surprised if she's not looking at the cam as something who could hurt her or her chick the way its bouncing around. Something I hope gets taken care of when they band the chick. :girlsad3:
