I cant read the bands in your catch. Skittles, M50, has been up and around some this morning, but she has napped often, too. Try to catch her at a feeding, and see how she does....Thanks, Nancy

Yes, M50 is laying in the front of the nestbox in your catch, Nancy

Another feed just now. Again very still, but at least I saw her reach in a time or two for prey....I did contact Mary Koher from Soarin' Hawk. She said shed keep an eye on M50 too.

I came in on the tail-end of the feed. Yes, she ate at least two bites when she went for it. These chicks are well-behaved. They obviously are being fed abundantly. Maybe they're full from the last meal.

She did reach for the food--this picture proves it.

Tsusan, I caught a feed just now, and the girls were all grabbing. What I've seen today is the naps were in order for all of them at various times. I think Skittles may be not hungry from the prior feed this morning. :1val:

I still have questions about M50, Skittles. Most often she just stands with her eyes shut. I can open the cam at any time of the day and pick her out right away. Mystic brought in food a little bit ago and while M50 joined the huddle, she did not reach in even once.
On a happy note, CoCo is a crazy girl, hopping and jumping around the box, pretending to attack prey, quite boistrous. And Flash, M52, is right behind. Jojo, M49,seems to be ok, just not as active as her big sister. Jojo often hangs around Skittles...
Add - Someone is in the back working on a piece of prey behind Skittles. I’ll bet it’s Coco- she’d eat 24/7 if she could....

:hithere: Ciuciek! Hello, I haven’t seen a post from you for a while! Yes, M50, Skittles, does not seem to be doing well. Soarin Hawk Raptor Rehab, in Fort Wayne, has their vet watching her...I guess it’s a touchy situation because if they do go in to get her, her siblings will flee the safety of their nest box, which would not be good....

Just watched another feed ...Again they all huddled around Moxie, but M50 kept her eyes shut and did not lean to try to get a bite until the very end. BUT, FLASH sneaked around, and just as Moxie stopped to look around he reached in and snatched the prey away and took it to a corner for himself. What a guy! Why was Moxie continually looking over her shoulder as she fed? Hopefully it was just Jamie driving off a turkey vulture...

Wonder if she's blind? She isn't as active as the other chicks, but it seems to me her crop is just as big theirs.

Hi, Catwoman, thanks for checking in.... I noticed her crop too. I’m no falcon expert, but since I haven’t seen her take in that much food, I wondered if there was a growth there, interfering with her eating? And she could be blind...I don’t know. However another concern has come up. The last feed I saw Moxie give in the early afternoon, Moxie seemed nervous as she was trying to feed the eyases. She kept looking over her shoulder, many times. I haven’t seen her back at the nestbox for a feed since. The kids keep lining up in the front with their eyes following something, and Flash, especially will start yelling. Moxie stopped in briefly with no food, and left. The kids are hungry and scrounging for bits of prey in the box. This has me concerned too. If anybody sees Moxie come in with a feed, Please post.

Ok, I'll have the cam up but I have some things to do. Poor thing--I'm almost positive she's blind. The little boy was flapping his wings and the others ducked. She didn't. Notice she doesn't move much. She gets around by sound and feel. :tissue:

There is parent!!!!! Moxie ? She has prey, and the kids are trying to yankit away from her. She got it back and she is beak feeding them. Skittles has her back to me. I can’t tell if she got any or not....

:egg19: Good catch ofthe band, Catwoman, 99E, it was Moxie. Maybe Skittles got in one bite when everyone was pulling on a piece, and I think she reached in and got some. They were awfully hungry. I wonder if she will bring in more food from a stash?

Poor babies. Is is raining? If it is, that would explain if there is a shortage of prey.

Umm - true confessions, I was so worried aboutMoxie that I found a Fort Wayne weather cam at the baseball field, which shows the AEP building in the background....and they were playing ball, so I guess no rain.. LOL...
