9:15~she is in the back right corner of the box. I hope she gains some confidence soon to come out and explore!!

She's out of the nest, but I didn't see her leave and have no idea which direction she headed ...

She came out for exercise~finally...

Few minutes ago, Mom came down, went into the box, found some leftovers

Parent has gone behind the box for some reason..

3:39: Well, she's finally up from the back of the box. I was about to wonder!!

Back to the "treat" or pacifier...

She first tried to figure out if it was something worth eating.

Then it turned more into a toy..pick up, drop, repeat

But, on one of her "drops", the wind caught it and the chase was on!!

She "caught" it!!

She eventually made her way back to the box with her prize.

She's standing in the door way waiting for her next meal and looking gorgeous! Really great action-captures, sky. Are you going to enter the contest? You could use the falcon bandana as a mask ... nobody else will have one like it in your area!! :eggthumb:

Thanks!! I don't know...LOL...too many to pick from..

5:30~dinner bell. Dad brought it off cam. Both Mom and baby saw him and reacted. Mom then returned:

She then headed back to the box to feed. I'm not really sure how much she ate. I think she still needs her Mom..LOL

Also last night (6/14) around 8:15.

I believe this is Dad who may have dropped off something to Mom.

A few minutes later.

Mom made a minor attempt to get it back. The baby was really screaming at her.

First Mantling I've seen!!

Mom left with a leg..

Mom came back later and retrieve the leftovers and ate them. Not sure I'll get around to posting those pics.

Also, it is super cool here for the next few days, so no extreme heat for this baby.

Noticed the time stamp is keeping up for me this evening. Previously, when I watched the cam for several consecutive minutes eventually the time would lag behind, sometimes as much as 6-8 minutes. Earlier I was watching when at 1800 Mom arrived to the parapet and immediately hopped down behind the nest box. The chick was in the nest and heard her go behind the box and is vocal. A minute later Mom hopped back up to the parapet. And a minute after that she dove off and down. Chick continues to vocalize. Then Mom returns at 1803 and hops behind the nest again. Chick again could hear her and is vocal and flapping wings, soon only vocal. At 1805, Mom up to the parapet and looks around while chick remains vocal. By 1808, Mom is preening and chick remains in nest and is quiet. Mom comes down the parapet and stops in view of the chick, then comes down a little further and hops down and then up into the nest. I blinked and the chick grabbed a scrap of food from the floor and is keeping Mom from it. (I honestly did not notice Mom with any food grasped in her talons when she came down the parapet, but don't know if I missed it or if the chick just grabbed a scrap already on the floor to keep Mom from seeing and taking. I lean toward the latter as the chick is well aware that Mom has a healthy appetite that equals hers!! :teehee:

) Mom did see, but left the nest at 1810 and flew. Seconds later I saw a falcon flying downward in front of the parapet. The chick remained in the nest, then decided to come out at 1812 and was looking upward to the skies and flapping it's wings. I had the impression it could see one of it's parents flying or one had landed on a ledge or roof above it. Then it became very vocal and was flapping. The chick ran toward the cam a couple of minutes later and out of view. Soon it was back in front of the nest. It kept looking toward the parapet and I was a little fearful that it was thinking of getting up there, but don't think it is quite ready yet. It ran out of view again. Back at 1816 for a few seconds, then out of view again. It came back in view and into the nest at 1819 where it remains.
