Few pics from the morning feed. It was already in progress when I arrived. It appeared that everyone got bites. Maybe #4 was in front? I don't know. It went down first. Only when mom was leaving did it decide to get back up.

Feed just finished up that I did not get to see and Mom left. Dad in poking the kids making sure all is well. Then he seems to be deciding if he should housekeep or get over them. He's shielding them the best he can!

Been here quite awhile. When I first came in, Mom was leaving with what was left of a meal and Dad came in to be with the chicks who were already in a bundle sleeping with occasional shifting. He left and came back 3-4 different times and the last time had the four covered as best he could. Mom finally returned at 8:19 and has them covered to brood. From what I have seen, I think both are doing a wonderful job taking care of four chicks with none to little experience!!

Chicks are alone right now. Just fed or about to be? Mom back with food! And feed in progress! She left with the remains at about 16:25. The chick that started the feed with the largest crop got most of the bites. It ended with the oldest 3 and Mom getting bites, but the youngest did not get any this time. When the feed started it was in front, but towered over by the others and and did not attempt to open it's beak, then it struggled and during the feed it fell a few times, migrated to the other side of the group and faced the wrong way, came back around and fell into the group facing the wrong way and got in position again with its beak open, but no bites. I know it is younger, but eyes not held open as big as the older ones (more slit-like) and therefore did not have as robust of look as they did. None the less, all gathered in a pile and are falling asleep. Will try to monitor feeds more, but it is a hit and miss without sound to alert you while leaving tab up. Mom back and shielding to brood.

I am sorry to hear about the youngest not being fed, SWINWK. I got these captures. I'm not going to be able to see that she feeds them.

Dad hopped up in view to the lip at 18:07, then down into the nest and messed with feathers on the floor and checked on the chicks, then hopped out of the nest and view a minute later. That's okay catwoman, I know she has fed the little one in the past, but not this last time. Just want to be sure the chick is being fed some daily. Thanks for your SC's. At about 18:19, I think it was Mom who came in ( and maybe not, I saw from another room) checked on chicks and left again, maybe will bring back more food. Okay, guess that wasn't Mom as the male just hopped up on the lip down from the chicks, looked around and left again. About 18:48, mom to the lip and went down and started brooding, but left at 18:54.

I was concerned about Dad and the fact that he hadn't brought any food for a period of time. You allayed my fears. Maybe just a nice day and Mom is enjoying herself.

Mom returned at 19:04 with food. The little one has it's beak open and Mom almost gave it a feather. The little one again did not get any bites this feed. It was a small feeding and she left at 19:10 after having started to brood. At 19:20, Mom returns with more food and it is larger this time! Oh no, it's a blocked feed. Mercifully for me, after awhile the littlest chick moves to the left of Mom and is in my full view. I actually saw it get 17 bites, yes I said 17 bites (some tiny) and saw it's crop grow and get blood all over it's face. I think she left and came back with more food, because she could tell all of her chicks were not full! (I love this Mom, I've always said "she is a force"!! Came flying in here at a little less than 1 y/o and took over a nest with territory!) Then the feed was blocked again. Mom ate several bites and afterwards left with the remains. The chicks had already piled up to sleep before she left. Mom returned at 19:41 to brood. I hung with it for over 2 hours and so glad I did as I can leave knowing the little one has a full belly/crop!!

I've been trying all morning to catch a feed. Guess my timing has been way off...took a pic anyway...

Just finished a short feed from Dad...everybody ate except the baby...hopefully Mom will come back with something larger.

Curious spot on #3

3 and 4 were slow to respond at first.

They slowly became in engaged in the feed.

#3 standing tall. It eventually stuck its head between 1 and 2...that's how it got to eat.

Mom has returned with a much larger feed...and while its partially blocked, I believe baby is right in front.

this was almost a 20 min feed...Hopefully, everybody that wanted to eat, ate...

Back with pics in a few. You really couldn't see anything, though.

She blocked, but think it was the little one who got the bite. I missed all but 2 minutes of it.

Thanks, for you all's coverage! Have been gone part of the day, but the times I have been in, I managed to miss any of the feeds. Right now, Mom is napping as she broods.

The feed went on and on--anybody who didn't get enough to eat was asleep. I kept an eye on the little one, and though his beak was hidden by Mom most of the time, his head bobbing told me that he was eating a lot!
