I will try and post my video etc in a bit, but our female chased off the juvenile by fling down on it today in air.

her egg should be soon. Stress can cause a bi t of delay.

when she left for that 3 hour period , the male called her out.

this is where our female goes. showed a video a few posts back shwoing it

Grinnell was found dead this afternoon

Just had possibly an unbanded tiercel (fingers crossed) land on the ledge/rail near nest box. Annie was on eggs. Got up and was vocalizing. 18:31 on stream.

it would be so sad but yet, if a new male is there, it could be of help to Annie and Grinnell eggs. She just needs someone to hunt and in courting , it would bring prey.
maybe this is what happened to Grinnell.

as I head to bed, at 21:43_ Annie on eggs , maybe 3 in morning and the tiercel is still on ledge. they talk occasionally.
I am heavy hearted but have hope for tomorrow for this site.

annie just left and unbanded male at box, examining eggs . He is chirping. cant tell if he is limping a bit. He is sitting at box .
Good sign . he has gone left so lost track of him. no one up at Berkely to track him. We will wait and see

He does appear to be limping...but, when he was in the box, I couldn't see anything visibly amiss.

They have zoomed on him...definitely a limp...right leg?. Need to see him walk more.

I pray this pairing is successful..then at least 2 chicks will be Grinnell's...

yup. limp does not appear to be anything serious. He seems taken with eggs and wants to bond. Long time females tend to be a bit stand offish but do come around. they know what they need. It just takes a bit. sh e i s back again so I am taking this all as a positive sign. she is not upset.

fingers crossed. I am out in a bit for an appointment and will keep cam up but at this site we can go back in history.
He seems comfortable.
