Thanks for all the pictures, ljames. When I turned the cam on this morning Trinity flew in with breakfast, and Red Girl fed her new family. He's brooding now while Red Girl takes a break.

Thanks for posting that terrific picture, Dave. Not everyone is on Facebook. And I think I can see FIVE fluffballs.

Red Girl apparently thinks there's one more egg to hatch cause she's doing the shimmy! :7val:

Not sure if you can tell, but there were definitely 5 in there. I'll have to go back and watch the feed in a bit, but I wasn't getting a good view, plus you know I get anxious watching so many chicks being fed.

I didn't catch the feed, but is there an egg that didn't hatch?

Here are the five hatched PEFAs enjoying an Easter breakfast - Red Winged Blackbird. One egg not yet hatched, but viable - it is peeping and should hatch today or tonight.

I couldn't see the unhatched egg, but as many chicks as there are, it could be in the middle of them. By the way, everyone got fed--Red Girl's very good about that. :7val:

I was just getting ready to post a feeding pic, but I see you guys got much better ones.
:eggthumb:

Yes, Red Girl is a good mom, for sure.

I saw a feeding about half an hour ago, and could see the unhatched egg. Red Girl has had five a bunch of times.

Thanks for the pictures, Nancy. I watched a couple feedings today. Red Girl is SO careful to see that each chick is fed. And I can see the unhatched egg right now. Kinda hoping it doesn't hatch at this point.
