Wonderful! When I was down there last Sunday, I could see some prey stashed on both the 13th and 11th floor ledges. Unless I have a major change of plans, I intend to take a spin downtown this afternoon.

Ok I see now the early bird gets the worm, so to speak! If I want to see the Falcons, I will have to sacrifice my sleep and get up earlier! :holsleep:

I'm like you, Cricket. It's nice that there are several others who catch those early morning shots. Sheets in the dryer, and need to put them back on the bed. Hope to get downtown around 3:30 or 4:00. We are have unseasonal warmth again today, but that is to end this week. :-(

Gee, I'm looking at what time those above pictures were posted, and I must have just missed seeing NG. Got downtown a bit before 4:00, and didn't see anything that remotely resembled a falcon. Don't know why I went up on the 5th Street Garage roof, but found the head of some sort of woodpecker up there. Either a Flicker or Red-belly. Went down the elevator and walked along Aberdeen. Lots of Pigeon feathers, and also a pretty fresh looking Woodcock head. Had trouble looking at that. Went over to the train station to use the potty. The place was FULL of people heading back home from Thanksgiving. No falcons in sight when I came out, but was determined to stay until dark, so went over to the Chestnut Street Garage roof. Was getting tired of standing, so found a post up there to sit on where I could look over at the nest ledge. The Crows started whipping around over at Forum Place around 4:45. Post was getting pretty hard, so walked over to the edge of the roof, and from there I could see a falcon sitting on the corner of 333 Market. Shortly after 5:00 it took off down 4th Street toward the Capitol and disappeared to the right behind the buildings. Waited about ten more minutes to see if it returned, but it didn't, so I left. Don't even know which falcon it was. Sorry I couldn't give a more positive report, but this is what I saw.

Needed a good giggle tonight. More bird heads than falcons! Maybe Greg can ID that woodpecker head on the 5th Street Garage roof.

Thanks for the report Jane. I don't think that I've ever seen a bird head much less two on the same day. :holbugeye:
I can only imagine the activity at the train station. I use to think, how fun it would be to travel by train for the holidays.

As I recall, it was about 3:56 maybe that I last saw somebody on camera and I had the cam up until it got dark.

Thanks for your report, Jane. Too bad they wouldn't grace you with their presence. You tried anyway & it was a lovely day to be outside. Hope Reenie has better luck tomorrow! :holcrazy:

A great start to the week! Coming in to work around 7:00, as I crossed museum plaza near Forster Street and Commonwealth Avenue (about a half of a mile from the Rachel Carson building), I heard, then saw, a falcon swooping up over the top of the Keystone building--or perhaps landing there, I could not tell. What a nice treat! :hithere:
