OMG--what a relief! They're both alive! I was really worried about #1.

Thanks, Allen & Juanita!

I think it's also 2 unhatched eggs and 2 babies.

OFF TOPIC
I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone here for causing a panic about the little one at Ft Wayne. I've only had time this year to actually watch Ft Wayne and not as much as I'd like. Since our Mother passed away unexpectedly on January 28, I have been the executor of her estate and my problem is with the bank doing either the wrong thing or not doing anything at all. Mom did not die of her esophageal cancer or her aortic stenosis (which she was going to have taken care of this June) but of a large blood clot in her small intestines caused by the blood thinner she was on. She was monitored but the doctors had trouble getting the correct dose beginning in December. She died peacefully and we miss her so much.

BACK ON TOPIC
I know that several nests lost one or even two chicks.

This is a really cute, sweet couple - they remind me of Freedom and Roosevelt.

First Juanita...I am so sorry to hear about your mom...what a great loss..hugs to you... :sorrow:

...and there is no need to apologize...we were all very confused last evening because we couldn't see what was going on...Heck, we had 3 chicks hatching last night/this morning. Well, obviously, that wasn't true...LOL...

You don't have time right now, but if you took a tour of BCAW, you would come across quite a few "miss-calls" on several of these nests!!!

Its all good...we just appreciate you contacting Allen to get the cam zoomed...that helped tremendously to clear up the confusion... :egg19:

Juanita, I'm very sorry to hear about your mother. The loss of a parent is one of the hardest things we have to go through in life. And then to have the stress of dealing with a bank that isn't handling things properly sure can't help. Just glad you & Rita have each other.

As SGB said, don't feel bad about sharing your thoughts on the first hatch. I think we were all concerned that it didn't seem to be moving & since this is a refresh cam, we really couldn't tell until Allen was kind enough to zoom the cam for us.

Thanks for posting that capture from Allen! I brought the cam up briefly at work & happened to see that on cam & was so happy to see both little faces!

Thank you, skygirlblue and Catwoman. Mom followed the Peregrine Falcons at this time each year - asking which nest had eggs, asking about hatching eggs, banding day and fledges. She knew all about them and we've even had her sit with either Rita or me at the computer to watch the parents and the babies. I've even thought several times that I'd have to tell Mom about the first egg laid at different nests and then I remember.

Here's some more cute ones of this cute family! Hope the other 2 eggs hatch!

Great pictures, ladies! These 2 sure are photogenic & I also hope the other 2 eggs hatch. Jamie & Moxie had 4 last year & acted like seasoned parents even though it was their first nesting season!

Juanita, maybe your mom is still watching the nests with you.
:egg8:

Just caught a feed. #2 conked out early!

I'm very sorry for your loss Juanita.

So nice to see two babies here, so far. And they are super cute.
