I fear we are going to have a repeat of San Francisco..I doubt they removed the eggs and if she does reclutch (and I'm not even sure she has laid a new egg) she's gonna try and incubate them all and then they'll all fail..just like San Fran..

I really lightened this pic to see the eggs..

..and now...drum roll please...meet the new kid on the block...HE'S A BABY!!!! LOL I couldn't tell if he was banded..

they have changed their statement on the webpage.. :egg16:

It is now believed the first egg with the new pairing of the female and male appeared 4/14/14 with the second egg appearing 4/16/14. The female does most of the incubating which takes about 33 days so middle of May before we see our first chick.

Manchester falcon faces new challenges in Henniker

If the bird cannot be released, the state Fish and Game Department, the Audubon, Colby and several other parties will face a serious decision. :egg14:

“Do you take a 14-year-old bird who has been free all his life and put him into captivity . . . confined to a cage for the next four to five years,” she said, “or euthanize him?”

It is a tough choice, she said, and not one that the group will make until extensive testing is done. The falcon has a follow-up visit with a veterinarian in the next two weeks.

They do have a problem...but, they probably don't want my opinion..

They still will not answer if they removed the eggs...if they didn't then I fear the same fate here as what happened last year at San Fran....not to mention the new male is a subadult...hopefully he wasn't firing blanks... :sum8:

WEll, I really don't know what this means..

Then she dug for a while

Image

Stood by the eggs for a few minutes

Image

She then walked through the eggs to the right, back corner and did something...she eventually returned to the eggs and got on them...I didn't stay so I don't know if she stayed there..

Good catch...ya know, they never did answer me about if they removed the first clutch. For all we know, this IS the first clutch...I really don't keep this cam open...but, has anybody caught the male recently? He's a sub adult so not hard to miss...
