I don't understand why they are posting that hatch time was 11:28 when E6's head was all that hatched then. According to the definition that the mod posted, it isn't considered a hatch until the chick is totally out of the shell & the shell is in 2 pieces. Oh well, E6 is certainly totally hatched by now & both chicks are well--that's what is important! :bsanta:

I'm glad to see that Harriet fed E5 a while ago. At least she's participating a bit and she's with the eaglets now. Wish I could record because both babies are in front of Harriet & are very active! :flirty:

Also, I see on chat that this morning Harriet had a hook & fishing line caught in her wing, so maybe that's why she wasn't acting predictably. The consensus is that it is gone now.

Harriet offered food at 5:42 a.m., neither E accepted any.

we must remember that this is normal and the other young one will learn to eat when the other is full.
it is not fun to watch and I tend to not watch this phase , but the only nest that I can remember that handled this phase very well was Norfolk . they always had 2 or 3and the aggression was not too bad. parents tended to feed one at a time or tandem fed.
