All appears to be back to normal..Both O and H are on thenest...Harriett arrived with something huge for lunch..

The 2 cams must not be in sync, for at one point, there were 3 eagles in the air at the same time...and O was still in the nest ..then 2 landed in the nest (according to distance cam)...LOL...but, Ozzie was still there (according to nest cam)...hee hee...gosh...30 second difference?

yes, that is when I realized time lapse. but there was a small encounter, and both HaRRIET AND oZ LANDED IN NEST. ONE STILL SOARED FOR A SECOND AND THEN OFF.

I think it was jsut stopping over looking for a free meal.
if a video appears I will bring it over

OK...let's see if I can explain this vid..boy..there is quite the delay between the two cams..

I really wasn't set up properly to record..

You can see that O left (via distance cam), then there are 3 in the sky...O and H return to the nest...but, notice that when I zip up to the nest cam (1st time), O is just leaving to help with intruder escort...LOL I zip back down to the other cam (and wait)...and eventually back to the nest cam. When I ended on the nest cam, O and H had JUST landed..of course, via the distance cam, we already knew that 2 eagles were on the nest...LOL

I'm sure urodog or somebody will have a much better organized vid...

you can see that when oz leftt nest he went down to right and encountered other eagle briefly and then he came up and then harriet followed, she was further out but made it back first.. other eagle went to right and then flew over when both in nest. i thouight it was going to land in tree again. will look again but that is what I saw when I was looking

good vidoe

Exactly Bev...wish I had recorded the nest landing by both...I could see it, but my recorder was still on the distance cam...That fish was huge...

and I could see everything as I also had two cams on bu tI could not record. I sometimes wonder if they nested a bit later maybe food would be better to sustain 2

they just said on chat that the remains of E5 are being picked up Monday, by powers to be. The \prichetts have it in freezer. I know that feeling . I had one of our deceased juvenilles in my freezer for a month.

Had to warn my family LOl

from fb Southwest Florida Eagle Cam

Today has been a big day for E6 as we see the first hop and flap at 45 days old. (photo: Urdognu)

and video
by urdogno

2-10-2015
Windy day at the nest. There were a few ufo deliveries that E6 was self feeding on, in addition to fish. Dad gets caught by the wind, gorgeous approaches to the nest from the PTZ cam. Mom departs the nest to follow Ozzie, who has a feathered prey, to the nest. The de-feathering and feeding of the water fowl will be in the next video.
Thank you Southwest Florida Eagle Cam Foundation
