HARRISBURG ~ APRIL 2015 PART I

Taking a lunch break from outdoor projects. When tuning into the cam about five minutes ago, Niecey was there, but Lil Dad came in shortly afterwards and is now on the eggs. We have that wind out of the East again today. Temps in the high 60s.

Tuned in a bit ago to find Niecey on the eggs and Lil Dad right next to the scrape by the stick. He came into the scrape and wanted some egg time, practically standing on top of Niecey. She didn't budge. He went back out on the stick. I'm thinking of making a spin downtown to see those cherry blossoms before the rain spoils them tomorrow.

Good grief, it's windy there. Is it close to hatch time yet? I put my headphones on just in case, to listen, but the noise of the wind is terrible.

Great pictures, ljames. I spent about 45 minutes downtown this afternoon. The cherry blossoms are SO beautiful, probably at their peak right now. Wind was blowing some of the petals off, and it looked like it was snowing. And of course I took my bins along. Was up on the roof of the Chestnut Street garage for a bit, and found Lil Dad sitting on the steeple. Haven't seen him there in a while. Only got to watch him about a minute until he took off and hung a left down Market Street toward the river. The wind on the roof was awful, so I sat in a bus shelter along Market Street hoping Lil Dad would return while I was there. Finally had to give up as I still needed to stop for some groceries. I am guessing by Wednesday there will be some eggs hatching.

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE JANE. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO WATCH TOO MUCH AND IT'S KILLING ME....... HOPE TO GET TO SEE AT LEAST ONE HATCH THIS YEAR :-)

NIECEY IS ON THE POINT BLOWING IN THE WIND AND PREENING, GUESS LIL DAD WILL SOON HAVE TO LEAVE FOR THE NIGHT.

Niecey arrived on the point about five minutes ago and is getting in some preening before the night shift. Weather report for tomorrow sounds like it's going to be VERY wet.

Yes, the next couple of days are to be very wet!

Just an observation to pass along........

The capture of Lil Dad and Niecey head to head a few captures back clearly shows the difference in the Cere on each of them.. Niecey's is lighter than Lil Dad. That is how I tell them apart.

SOUNDED LIKE LIL DAD BROUGHT NIECEY FOOD, SAW HIM GOING IN TO SETTLE ON THE EGGS.

Cam is working for me, and am seeing Lil Dad on the eggs right now. But am only getting one view. The wind is not as strong here as yesterday, thank goodness.

THEY ARE SWITCHING TO ONLY THE SCRAPE BECAUSE WE COULD HAVE HATCHES ANYTIME NOW. WE WILL GET THE OTHER VIEW EVENTUALLY TOO OF THE SIDE OF THE SCRAPE :-)

WE JUST HAVE TO BE PATIENT :-)

AT LEAST WE GET TO SEE LIL DAD ALOT :-)

WELL I MISSED THE EXCHANGE, BUT NIECEY IS ON THE EGGS RIGHT NOW. EARLIER WHEN LIL DAD GOT UP TWICE TO ROLL THE EGGS, I SAW A LITTLE ROUND WHITE MARK. WONDERING IF IT'S A PIP........MISSED GETTING A PICTURE OF IT TWICE :-(
