oh my. Well without bands it is always difficult to see who is who. You have to depend n behavior and markings. but behavior can change with new mate, so you have to be careful

It makes sense that it could be someone born here. It is not bad with peregrines to mix . Happens at many nests. but it is usually a male who will return to site not a female.

that is why when hacking birds to come back to a cliff they like to release males. ( this info is from our biologist)

I guess the main thing is we have a pair.

but we have loved our Beau and Swift :egg17:

I woul d like to think of them as having moved on or maybe they are just away for now.

I thought that it appears Beau turns out that it is not, just like falcon.

To sum up: currently, Female calling her Diamond.

Two Male: one calling Streak and similar to Beau without a name

Another era apparently ended with the absence of Swift & Beau. I too hope they are just "away".

What I would love to see if we can't have Swift & Beau, is a possibility that the babe who fell off the window ledge make an appearance. If I remember correctly, he wasn't even banded so I don't know how we would identify him anyway.

I had been wondering whether the peregrines in Austrailia migrate for the Winter like some here do. After reading Cilla's update, obviously Swift didn't since she's still seen around, but I wonder if Beau did. Beau's absence might also be why Swift isn't sleeping in the nestbox anymore--maybe she doesn't feel secure doing that without Beau around on guard duty. :egg16:
