Food drop at noon...and the sisters battled it out. Their brother couldn't be bothered by their antics and petty ways, and so just stayed out of the way and watched...he never did eat..and when the sisters were finished, they went and pestered him...

Well, I know of one special follower who is going to be a happy woman :teehee: otherwise read it and weep:

With more than 1,500 submissions, we're very pleased to announce the results of the falcon naming contest!
Drum roll, please!.......
Cade, Koppie & Burnham "Burnsie"
These names represent some great leaders in the conservation movement.
Tom Cade, Ph. D., founding chairman and director of The Peregrine Fund, http://www.peregrinefund.org/people/cade-tom
Craig Koppie, raptor biologist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Chesapeake Bay Field Office, who has devoted his career to these majestic birds, once nearly eradicated. He is also responsible arranging medical attention for the male eyas, now named Koppie, as well as banding and studying the falcons at this site for many years.
William A. Burnham, former president of The Peregrine Fund. He served with the organization from 1974 through his death in 2006. http://www.peregrinefund.org/people/burnham-bill
The drawing for the winner of the falcon plush will take place later this week. Thank you to everyone who took time to participate in the falcon naming contest.

I do like Koppie for our boy and do like shortened version "Burnsie" ... hmmmm ... Cade is not so bad is it? :egglaugh:

Chesapeake Conservancy facebook
Results of the falcon naming contest
Koppie, Cade, & Burnsie

Craig Koppie, raptor biologist
Tom Cade dir of The Peregrine Fund
William Burnham, former president of The Peregrine Fund 1974 through his death in 2006.

I am glad Craig is honored! I sure hope thats the male!! Pretty dumb to pick 3 male names when 2 are females.
If Cade is the girl and pronounced like Katie I like it.

OOPS - me n SWIN posted at the same time!

Meanwhile - we've had warnings all day about the heat and the storms predicted for tonight (starting around 8:00pm)..."high winds, tornado warnings, possible hail, lightning." :egg14:
