The grassy on our right is the 'courtyard' where Ches Cons suggested would be a good place to watch the falcons... that's where I saw the two people sitting on a marble bench... I couldn't see ANYTHING (during the monsoon!)... :teehee:

June 30, 2015 Tuesday Shepnotes
5.15 am No one on ledge as light breaks, no wings, nothings - hey kids where are ya!?
5.22 am Light has splashed the entire cam area and not a birdie in sight.
- This is too soon for Cady to have fledged - but Burnsie may have tried to join Koppie
5.30 am Ah there's one up on the bridge. They seem to just - APPEAR - and someone on fb said that also
5.38 am prey drop on ledge - by Boh I think - Oh such screaming! I can almost hear them
- Whoever got it went down on roof with it. Boh dropt a BIG brekky! WOW!

Today I may no longer be able to tell one sis from the other. Their fluff may be gone.
I hope to see them in full light to see

8 am Barb appeared under bridge, went into nest and scratched around suspiciously
- I doubt anyone would allow me to say Barb looks depressed, so - I just wont say that

terka thats a great pic!
SWIN I love your notes. No need for me to post mine - but I did anyway

8 - 8.30 am Barb appeared to be going down memory lane as she stood in empty nest
- Yesterday Boh was scraping - like they'd have a 2nd clutch

Oh wait .. Barb just sent this tweet ......
I did battle with another bird for Boh and this nest.
I had 3 pretty red eggs - then these things broke them
I fed those 3 things and so did Boh
And now one is gone. Whats going on? Was it worth it? Is this ..... life??
---

8.38 am Barb appears to be calling, vocalizing - her bib is getting whiter
9 am Barb just exited ledge - perhaps hunting - she was there a whole hour

All of your pictures are beautiful... wonder if Barb's remembering dragging her chick around!
I wish I could tell them apart!

Is a second clutch possible?

No second clutch. The only time I have known falcons to reclutch was if they lost eggs very early during incubation....with one exception..and that is Richmond (those 2 have always been quirky and different) They lost an entire clutch of eggs just prior to hatch (eggs not viable and started falling apart)...and we thought the season was done...Nope, they regrouped and laid 4 more eggs (5 eggs in the first clutch). First time I have EVER seen that!! But very sad outcome...both chicks died, probably due to heat. It was brutally hot by the time those eggs hatched. Both chicks lived for about 2 weeks and appeared healthy and growing..and then bam..major, major heat wave. It was so sad...

Anyway...sorry for getting carried away and REALLY off topic..LOL

This was the food drop..

Really nice distance on this flight...I think Koppie was trying to do a variation of this when he went off..just my personal opinion...and a moot point now...LOL

Cam freezes about mid-way...

Better explain: I thought I saw Boh in nest and Barb flew toward nest area from left, but went downward toward right and shortly, she flew back up and out toward left and away!
