Oh, Me too! I watched a parent teach a couple of kids how to flap around in my backyard once... right near my bird bath! It was wonderful!!! We have robins that stay here all year round - I put apples out for them! :loveshow:

Do you think he thinks there's something wrong with the chick that's still there?

such great ledges there. good for fledges. cameras pick up a lot you cannot see. I remember Rosekk posting some pictures and finding falcons, that she did not see .

When we do take pictures, we just keep clicking. never know what you will find

If you walk way back you may see things at ledges but I would think on top of ledge not inside. At least at U of A they cannot get inside for a few days

Thanks, Bev - that's what I did - just kept clicking! Up and down the ledges. I was glad that the "nest shelf" was visible - even though I couldn't see anything!!! I did walk across the street and clicked a few from that vantage point. Will post tomorrow!
(I was surprised to see what the camera did pick up that I couldn't see until I looked on the PC!)

Gosh, Bonbon...looks like you and Marsha L. just missed each other this morning..here's the report she posted about 30 min. ago on FB:

I observed the falcons for the 2nd time yesterday from 5pm - 8pm...saw fledgling on 31st floor east side of building..this could be the same fledgling observed earlier in the day on the 26th floor - south side. Saw both parents on both occasions flying around landing on the Transamerica building and various other buildings within a 3 block radius. This morning observed the falcons from 5:30am -8:30am. Fledgling on 33rd floor east side...remaining baby in nest on 33rd south side. Parent flew with food by the building and the fledgling on the 33rd floor east side flew out and Parent & fledgling landed on the west side of the building..not sure what floor. Headed back tomorrow morning determined to see all 3 fledglings!

Darn - I don't know how I missed her - I was standing on the east side when I was talking to the WHISKEY MAN(!!) - I didn't see anyone - I wonder where she was standing???? I was obvious enough! She definitely knows more about this than I do! My parking ticket was stamped 8:35!! :gaaaaah:

Here are a few more pics from yesterday:
Lots of places to hide (or get stuck!) in the 'letters:'

(I won't post any more pictures like this - unless you want me to - or unless I see something... I don't think I took any of the other sides of the building - only the south (nest) side.

Thanks Bonbon..I'm still quite impressed with the zoom on your camera..

Marsha's post is now buried deep in their FB page and sandwiched between 2 osprey posts..she posted under 1 of my comments..I knew it would be hard to find, so that's why I posted it here..

This is why I will never rely on Facebook to track what is going on in a nest..

So true about posting on FB, Sky, definitely gets lost. The Osprey nest gets much more attention - probably because IMO people know nothing about Peregrine Falcons, which is unfortunate - they are fascinating birds (if you ask me!!!)
(Sky - my camera is quite new - it's a Canon PowerShot5x400IS. It came with case, battery, charger, and the little card... all for less than $160! Including tax and shipping! (on QVC! :teehee: My old printer broke printing out the entire manual - because I'm not sure how it works!! Probably has a little computer in it! )

Here are some more pictures

This is the same building (with all the glass), across the street. (I think this is the bldg. Marsha refers to as FNB; don't know where FNB is.)
