Our young Hawk in the Horst is so far no longer returned to his parents. There are many possibilities for this: it always happens that young peregrine falcons have fatal accidents in the first days and weeks after flying out. Unsuccessful ground landings, approaches to electricity pylons or glass fronts are not uncommon. Sometimes, they also by natural enemies, such as the OWL, are captured and eaten. But also food shortages regularly sets to the stock in the first winter still lack of hunting experience. Only about one-third of young peregrine falcons reached adulthood.

Today at 12:40 the small Falcon for the first time flew off from his Horst, he landed there safely after three minutes. 14:30 he is flown away for the second time, after his parents dragged him out of the box. He has again returned to spend the night in the box against 20:40.
