So happy to read an update!! (Thanks Donna)

Poor Flash...we all were afraid this feather issue would have to wait until she molted (moulted)...I sure hope when that happens, those new, adult feathers will be pristine!! Poor girl, but so happy they are willing to take care of her and wait it out!!

Really feels like we've hit the summer
Doldrums here. I've been looking out for seeing the juvies expanding their territories, but I haven't been able to see anything. I would love to see them again before they head out of the area!!

On an unrelated note, I did see two bald eagles fly by my office window this morning. I've seen them further north before but on occasion they will glide around my office to the south. Wish I could have gotten a pic, but my hands were full of coffee and a notepad! I'll be on the lookout for the rest of the day.

Good mornig Everyone - what a rain storm we had yesterday afternoon - I understand that I missed a spectacular rainbow too - bummer
This morning I was downtown as usual waiting for my bus when I heard a very loud falcon alarm call coming from somewhere by the Huntington Building towards the river. I heard the call for several minutes then I heard a different sounding bird call and then both at the same time - this went on for several minutes - maybe 5 minutes - I wish I could describe the second bird alarm call - like a diving sort of call. Then it was quiet - I listened for about 5 minutes then my bus came and I had to be on my way to work. I never saw anyone though which was frustrating - maybe they were behind the buildings

Nice bonding session with our happy couple...(it was actually longer than this, but spared us all from the stand like statues phase..)

The Chesapeake pair are worse...didn't think that was possible....sometimes I think their cam is frozen but its not...they just don't move..

Durand and Spark have gotten a tad better in this post season...but, not by much...LOL

sorry for the delayed response - at first I thought it was a bat - or you hear this sound at dusk - I am terrible with my bird sounds - I have to find my bird calls CD and maybe that would help identify the bird

I know the call you're talking about Rosekk17. I kept hearing it at dusk, even in the Midwest, & I came to the conclusion that its a bat (could definitely be wrong though). :sum8:

visitor came out of the nest and then began to yell about something/someone - seemed to be watching something then - I love how they waddle down the ledge - thought he would hop up on the ledge box but now out of sight near the cam end
